Good fit and finish, great sound
This guitar exceeded my expectations. For a $600-700 guitar it has very good fit and finish. I previously owned an Indonesian made Yamaha AC1R and the fit and finish of this Chinese made Yamaha is better. The action is also pretty low and it has a truss rod for future adjustments. The best feature though is the electronics. They really add another dimension. I also like the minimalist control setup. This has been my go to guitar since purchasing it last month.

Love it!
I really love the feel...came perfectly set up straight outta the box perfect action on a fairly straight neck..changed to a lighter gauge of strings..loosened the truss rod a tad and off to the race 5 stars!

Did what it was advertised to do
This guitar like most brand new guitars needed to be set up but a professional . once that was done and strings changed I could not be happier with this guitar.

eternal mysterious buzz
i have always owned and liked yamaha guitars till this one.... i paid the price for a good guitar and got a real lower end guitar with awful set up and un-fixable sound and tone....the set up was extremely high and now i know why.... when set up for proper action it buzzed like crazy .... i sent it out to two qualified luthiers only to spend a mint and find that they couldnt get the buzzing out after several stays at the shops. two sets of new bone nuts and saddles... still buzzed .... leveled the frets, still buzzed... the buzz would alternate from the b and high e... the luthiers think that the buzz is a sympathetic buzz from the reverb and chorus from inside of the guitar or the circuit board wiring laying loose.... they gave up and so did i .... i put it in the case and into the closet... DONE ...
