22 Piece Tegu Endeavor Magnetic Wooden Block Set, Nelson

Beautiful colors, fairly engaging activity for my 10 month old son and I to play with together. I'd say we could have waited a bit to use these until he was old enough to begin building with them, but for now he enjoys using them as drum sticks, and loves when I make a triangle out of 3 of the long ones.

Parental request. Good quality. Gets lost like all small piece toys. Too expensive.

Got these plus the set of 4 cubes for my nephew. He loves them and will be able to grow into playing with them (he is only 1). The fact that they are magnetic is great - he loves to pull them apart and watch them come back together. My only complaint with the long thick blocks is that the magnets are only at the end, which is more limiting - the long skinny ones have 3 magnetic spots. These blocks are seriously tons of fun. My sister and bro-in-law are both architects and had wanted to get their son cool wooden blocks--these are better than any of us could have imagined. I will definitely be buying more, just slowly and over time because they are very expensive. I do love that they are from a sustainable company doing really good work and helping an economy thrive.

Want to love it but paint chipped on multiple blocks on first day of play.

I have had my eye on these for a while. I'm glad I purchased these as an Amazon Lightning Deal (40% off), because they are not worth the full price. I realize that mark up goes to help people in Honduras (which is great)...but the regular price really puts them out of reach for a lot of people. The blocks are very lightweight. Not what I would expect out of magnetic blocks. The entire block is not magnetic, in fact, on the longer blocks, only the ends and the middle are magnetic. So really, there aren't *that* many things you can do with them. I purchased these for our 2-year old's birthday, and within minutes, he had them all dented up. My 9 year old and 7 year old think they are pretty cool, but there are more durable and versatile magnetic toys out there.

Tegu is the only brand if you want quality magnetic building blocks. While they are very expensive, other brands are made of cheap foam or plastic that do not hold up. I have this same set (in Mahogany) from when my daughter's son was little (he is now 10 years), and my son's little boys love playing with them, but 22 pieces are not enough. So I bought each of the little boys a set in the new colors so with the 3 sets they can go wild building. The magnets enable them to easily set the wooden pieces atop each other w/o tipping over too easily. Unlike tiny Lego pieces, I do not have to help the 18-month old and 4-year old boys use these blocks.

I bought these blocks for my grandson's second birthday, and they were a hit with him! He was inundated with lots of toys, but he spent the most time playing with these. I love the fact they're magnetic so that when he builds with them, they will stick together and not immediately topple over. His daddy will enjoy playing with them too. :-) There are so many toys on the market that require little or no imagination on the part of the child, and I wanted to give him something that encouraged imagination and creativity.

Great toy! Love it. Provides endless creativity for the kids and seems to be really well made. Will be buying more sets for sure
