Collector's Guide to the Zeolite Group (Collector's Guide to Minerals)

Got this as a gift when my husband started collecting zeolites. Excellent reference includes both basics (pictures showing variations in color and shape, etc) and details (exactly how different zeolites form and their crystal structures). Color photographs are very helpful. Good addition to the rock nerd library.

Very nice book, lots of information and beautiful photos.

I've been a professional exploration field geologist for over 40 yrs and had no idea how limited my knowledge of zeolites was until I bought this book. Wow. You look in a mineral book and it shows maybe 25 zeolites.... this book shows you that there are at least 90 zeolites identified these days. I thought there was only one form of Chabazite until I looked in here and found that there are many more than that and in a variety of crystal forms. The book contains more excellent pictures than text, which is unusual for a mineral book and very helpful. I may have to buy more of this authors mineral books. If they're all this good, I want them all and would encourage any budding geologist to do the same.

I have found this book to be very useful in identifying zeolites in my collection.
