Premium Chalked Finish Paint

I am an avid chalk paint user, and have tried many brands for my restorations and renovations. I am a perfectionist at heart...I got a fireplace 9 months ago that I was dying to redo and have let it sit unfinished this entire time because I could not find the right approach to refinishing this project. After finally making a decision, I started my hunt for taupe chalk paint. My go to brand has always been rustoleum. However I could NOT find the taupe color anywhere for sale, despite it being listed on the website. I came across this during my hunt and decided to just go for it. It is THE BEST chalk paint I have ever used. Not only does it go on smooth and cover well, but the color is gorgeous!! It’s so hard to tell when ordering online but it was everything I hoped and more. It’s the perfect taupe-a true greige...there is seriously nothing ugly about this color. If my walls weren’t such a similar color, I would leave my fireplace unglazed just because I love this paint so much. I only did one coat and so much of the paint was left that I immediately started painting other projects that I had hanging in the balance because this paint and color can do no wrong. Seriously DO NOT hesitate to buy this paint. I will never use another brand again!

Since I didn't see an actual picture of anything painted with BUFF TAUPE, i wanted to post one. This paint is gorgeous. I did my bottom kitchen cabinets and drawers...a total of 26.....in 4 hours. It only took one coat over an aqua semi-gloss paint that was previously on the cabinets. So easy to work with! All 26 cabinets took only half of the quart i ordered. It did take a week to get here from Illinois to Delaware via UPS. Don't hesitate with this brand. It's really great.

This was my first time using a chalk paint and it went fairly well.. I bought a quart of the cream of wheat, I am very happy with the color. It took 3 coats of this paint to cover, which is normal when you paint anything white. I still have about 1/3 of the can left which is great if I ever need to touch anything up. This paint is very thick and dries VERY fast. I somehow managed to paint this with 2 kids and 2 large dogs running around me and paint didn't end up all over my house. I did add a little water to my first 2 coats trying to save a little paint but my third coat I did not water down and it dried even faster. I used a foam roller and a small brush, you can see some brush strokes but that doesn't bother me. I have not put any sealer on this yet, I'm probably going to buy a water based polyurethane once the paint has cured in 30 days.

I really like this paint it has a thick consistency and very good coverage I will buy it again.

Nice size container

It was ok, but not near as good coverage as even Waverly chalk paints from Walmart. The consistency is thick, but coverage is more translucent. I was just painting a wooden step stool for my kitchen and ended up just leaving it with one coat because it works fine with my farmhouse decor. If you're looking for heavy coverage typically associated with chalk paints, I personally wouldn't recommend this paint, at least not in the color I bought which was kings carpet.

I have always used a different popular brand. Then I bought this because of the better price. I had no idea that it would be as awesome as it is!Its like real paint but dries as chalk paint. I will forever buy this brand of chalk paint!If I could give it a higher score I would!!

This is by far the best chalk paint I have used, and I have tried several kinds. The results are always impressive. SO happy Amazon sells this paint, as it is expensive to ship directly, and my local retailer doesn't have all of the colors available. I did find that the color chart was not exactly reflective of the color, but if you can find the color you like, then you will absolutely love this paint. I have done 2 nightstands (Dark oak), a large dresser, both bathroom vanities and heading to the kitchen next. It's the only paint that easily covers the ugly 90's style builder's oak grain, and in just a couple of coats.
