Bought this for my Son and his wife. They have 5 dogs so I wanted something they could hang out of reach. They just opened it up said it was pretty and good and were making plans to hang it up right away so I guess I did good.

I bought this item in April 2015. We hung it in the shade and it was never exposed to direct sunlight. We even took it inside when the weather began to turn chilly. Nonetheless, after owning it for 7 or 8 months, the colors all faded from the globes. We are now stuck with an unimpressive piece of glass with clear liquid as it is too late to return it. I was expecting much better for the price. Extremely disappointing. Update 11/8/17: The owner of the company, Seth, had not been handling the reviews for this product. After seeing my initial 1-star review, even though I had bought the product quite a while ago, he contact me and offered to replace the cylinder for free. It took two tries (UPS broke it the first time), but I finally have a new intact cylinder. I'm still not sure what caused the colors to fade the first time around, but the thermometer is so beautiful I can't wait to try it again in the spring. I'm really happy with this responsive, and responsible, owner. He could've ignored this issue, but he didn't. All business owners should be this invested in their customers' satisfaction.

I love this thermometer! Works exactly as it should. I’ve had two others over the last 30 years and needed a replacement. The first one was damaged in shipping, but Seth and his team were right on getting a replacement out to me! I also later bought a barometer from them. I HIGHLY recommended this company and will definitely be doing more business with them! Just sorry 5 stars is the highest rating I can give, they deserve higher! ☮️

An absolutely beautiful thermometer, I love it. I might make it a gift for a few people. I know I would definitely buy this again.

Item arrived unscathed. Followed directions for set up. Screws on top did not fit right because of glass defect? Or too much foam padding on top cap? Got item together and hung it up outside . 15 minutes later I hear a crash. I go outside and find the bottom of the glass tube had blown out all over my porch. This item is cheap and not made for the outdoors. $70 down the drain and lesson learned. DO NOT BUY.

A very good product, it's an awesome thermometer to put outside your home, I enjoy looking at it when I'm outside and people comment on it all the time on how beautiful it is. The company has the best customer service out there, and it's a family owned company.

This item is definitely prettier in person. Not good for anyone looking for exact temperature reading-temp measured in 4 degree increments. This is explained in description so pay attention. Item is very fragile. When received the packaging was perfect however, one of the inside orbs was cracked. The customer service was amazing. They responded immediately and had another one shipped out. The replacement was received 3 days later-in perfect condition!! I can't wait to hang and admire
