Quality bright light
Replaced the interior lighting in my car with these, providing a lovely white, bright upgrade to previous bulbs; giving clear as day view at night. Can't comment on longevity since these are supposed to last for years (and I've only just got them), but being a reputable name, you can expect them to last, and for Philips to honour any claim for the odd bulb that goes early.Cheap Chinese bulbs, as great as they can be, often hit and miss and a ticking time bomb as to when they'll suddenly go on you. Most LED options use an array of smaller, cheaper LEDs to get higher brightness levels whereas Philips took no shortcuts and provided a more expensive, single, powerful LED that looks a beast.Quality bulb replacements sure to last a long time.

Ford Focus 2011 mk2.5 Numberplate lights and Side lights Upgrade
I bought 2 sets of these Philips LED's, one to replace the truly, truly hopeless halogen sidelighs bulbs up front and the horribly dim numberplate bulbs. They may cost a lot more than many other nasty led's on ebay but they are far superior and worth the every bit of the extra cost. As sidelights they match my Philips Xtreme Vision Halogen headlights really well and when used just as sidelights they are actually bright enough to well... see but not nasty chav blue white, plus the lumen output is fairly soft, so while they are brighter than halogen wedge bulbs, they won't dazzle other drivers which is very important to me.As numberplate lights they eluminate the numberplate much better than standard halogen wedge bulbs without looking so bright that they blind other road users, again important so as not be a nuisance to other drivers, plus they look a lot more modern and the light is warm enough not to look chav tastic.

Perfect replacement for an old 30mm halogen style bulb in my interior dome light
Used this 30mm Festoon 4000k LED to replace the old interior welcome light bulb in my 2001 WRX (it was halogen style). MUCH brighter now and packaging says it should last for years. The LED bulb is rather expensive as opposed to the cheap chinese parts found all over the internet. The cheap massproduced Chinese LED's have been known short-out and take alarm ECU's .etc with them. Better to pay more for a quality part than risk the potential of £100's in repairs

Nice bulb - poor execution by Philips
So when it said CANBUS controller included I assumed (wrongly) Philips had engineered this into the bulb like many other lesser known manufacturers. However surprised by the weight of the box on arrival and even more surprised to find two huge (high quality) resistor packs included in the box which is where I imagine most of the cost of the product went. measuring 45x55x25mm per resistor its less than ideal for tight locations. It also requires you to "cut and splice"/bodge factory wiring to install which I'm not going to do. Having Philips LED bulbs all over the car seems to require an extra 5kgs in weight for all the resistors required! Kept the bulb though as its high quality and nice and bright and a definite improvement. Have had to purchase at £70 extra, another high quality Japanese LED flasher relay to install properly to avoid the hyperflash rather than these bricks provided by Philips.

Great tone, much OEM
Great tone, much more oem-ish for interior but still much brighter compared to standard w5w. No warning lights (VW Passat 2014)

Terrible!
They’re impossible to fit, each with a huge separate CANbus unit which needs to be fitted alongside the bulbs. However, there’s no room to house these monstrosities in my lamp units so they went back. Oh yes, they’re illegal too!

Mercedes clk 350 errors
Throws up CANBus errors in my clk. Unlike cheap chinese ones that actually work! Crazy. Be warned these do not mention anywhere about being CANBus compliant or error free. They are nice and bright though.

Ideal for caddy 2015. No bulb error.
Ideal for the caddy. Tried the other lamps which are cheaper. And don’t work these throw no error codes and work as they should. Colour match is similar to the Osram led headlights I’ve installed. Osram and Philips are the best option to retro fit your not just paying for the name your paying for the tech to cancel out bulb error
