When I ordered it said '2 in stock' but the order confirmation says delivery date not available due to item out of stock. Did anyone else have this?

I still didn't have a date after 10 days and "escalation" with amazon customer support. CS cancelled the order and removed all trail about the order in my account. DO NOT ORDER!

Can this monitor be set to show three screens the same size?

Not as such and certainly not from three separate computers. It can display input from two computers side by side split in the middle. If you want to spread out three applications running on the same screen you can do so using software provided though I personally prefer to use Microsofts PowerToys for this. Another alternative is DisplayFusion.

Is this good for 3d cad? And if it is no good or I don’t like it for 3d cad will it just be collected and refunded ?

Yes it should be, though having one big wide monitor needs some learning to use it. I use it for FreeCad, Blender etc. Key will be how your software allows you to arrange windows.

What are the dimentions of the inside of the stand base rectangle, ie to put stuff in like a wireless charger?

Depth Pretty much exactly 300mm Width 347mm at the front tapering back to 400mm at the back and just for completeness it is 15mm thick ;-) Note to that the back of base is not square but has a really shallow outward v to the centre of about 10mm. The bars are 20mm deep on the front and sides and 50mm deep at the back. Should give you the inside space info
