15 Large-Eye Hand Sewing Needles - 3 Sizes Big Eye Stitching Needles and 3 Clear Storage Tubes

I like the convenience of these large eyed needles but the variety isn’t as versatile as needed. The one small size within the three sizes in the set are the only ones that can be used with every day fabrics. The other two sizes are much heavier for denim, maybe suede, leather, etc. I’m hoping the 4 smaller needles will last me a while.

The needles were bought for crewel work. Mine kept breaking. These seem to be thicker and are definitely longer than regular sewing needles or even regular crewel needles. The eyes are large enough to thread with 2 strands of wool yarn. If you need to make tiny stitches these are not the needles, they are too large tight, delicate hand sewing. However that being said I would buy them again. They are great for what I needed them for.

Old eyes, shaky hands, nodding head— that’s why these needles serve my sewing needs perfectly. None of my children know how to sew because they would not sit down to learn. It calms me and interests me even at 66.

I think these would be good for cross stitch, or on a fabric with lower thread count. I got them for quilting and they don't really do the job because the needles are so thick. I'm hoping I'll find the right project for them!

Used them to repair wool sweaters. Sharp and sturdy. Easy to user with wool thread.
