I have found brands such as vo5 and fish to be awful when it comes to clay as it tends to be the cheaper made stuff and turns my hair greasy, this product whilst higher priced (around £7-8) will give a textured, messy look without feeling like you need to wash your hair in the evening. holds well, restyles well and widely availible.

I tried Johnny's Chop Shop Wild Cat Hair Clay, but it just didn't work for me. The strong hold and matte finish sounded great, but applying it felt like I was pulling at my hair, which was really uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the results I was hoping for. It might work better for someone with a different hair type, but I wouldn't recommend it for finer hair.

I have like most people wasted a fortune on trying different Matt hair stuff. Harry's too thick, got2b made my hair like straw, v05 too greasy. The orange Chop shop tin is ok but so sticky it felt like it was ripping my hair out. On dry hair, unusable. This is a lot easier to work in. The result is a bit crispy, but definitely Matt, and lasts the day. Recommended.
