California Costumes Women's Eye Candy - Nautical Doll Adult, Navy

So after reading the reviews I decided to order a medium in this costume. Apparently there's two versions that are being sold with Amazon Prime, one from China with a thicker material and one actually from California Costumes. I got the one from California Costumes so the material was stretchier, much more like your traditional Halloween costume. The dress itself looks really good, all the details are pretty much the same except yes, the white part didn't tie as nicely, like it was too loose to get that ruffled sweetheart look on the model. I'm a 30F so if my chest didn't fill it out, I don't really know whose would. The skirt was a pretty good length, a little bit longer than most Halloween costumes I'm used to actually, hit me a little above my mid-thigh (yes I'm used to short costumes, haha). The midsection you tie up in the back with a bow so as to get a more cinched look since this costume is just one you pull on. I liked it, but didn't love how it fit on me though because it fell straight down on the sides without hugging my waist or hips so I had to tie the bow in the back pretty tight but it was clearly too much fabric for my midsection. I then ordered the small, way better. The white part that ties in the front looks almost exactly to the model now and the fabric hugs my midsection really nicely. It's definitely shorter, like I bent over to put on my shoes and my boyfriend got a nice view of my behind without me noticing, it probably hits me around where the models costume ends on her. It looks like an okay length it's just because it poofs out that it's so short. And just a little information about me, I'm 5'8" and about 145 lbs with a larger chest and bigger than average hips/butt. My waist is definitely not proportionate to my body, much smaller. I usually can fit a small or medium in tops and I'm about a size 4 or 6 in bottoms. Overall very lovely costume and an unbeatable price. I even really liked the hat. One side note, the anchor on the skirt for the small is pretty awkwardly placed. The way the skirt billows out puts the anchor more towards the side/backish than in the front but I'm okay with that.

I got this costume for this year Halloween. I opened the package, as soon as I touched the dress I could say that it is different from my previous costumes. It is not a cheap material, however, do not expect very fancy material as well. The back part of the skirt is a little bit longer which makes the dress look nicer. I love it. Yet, it is a little bit open (Sexy). It depends on your preference if you want to have it this open, but exactly as shown in the pic. The hat is ok, not too fancy but good enough for one night. The buttons are really fine as I was worried reading some other reviews. But mine was really nice and tight. The size chart is exactly as all my other dresses. I always wear medium down and small up. I got the medium and it fits very good.

It looks exactly like the picture! I love it!! Its a great quality costume, not like the cheap material that you get with most costumes. Its breathable and it stretches. I will say it is very very short. I am 5'1 and I am a bigger gal so I felt like my butt was hanging out so I'm gonna find a pair of white or red ruffle shorts to go under. I was really worried t wouldn't fit, I went with the 2xl to be on the safe side (I am a 42 DD and I have big hips). It fits great everywhere but the bust is just a smidge to big but if I went with the smaller size I don't think I could wear it. I expected I would have to do some safety pinning here and there to get it perfect in the shoulders and bust area but I don't mind. I wiil say if you wear a bra with it, maybe look into getting a navy bra or one to go with the color scheme cause even with the ascot my bra still shows on the sides. Overall this costume is so cute. And I'm very satisfied with it. Like I said I don't mind buying the things I need to make it perfect (like a new bra and the shorts) because the price was excellent. I cannot wait to wear it out on Saturday night

It's sexy and fun without being too over the top, as I wanted it for going out to a bar on Halloween, not role-playing in the bedroom. I was tempted to buy a petticoat for it, but I waited to see how it fits first. Now I don't think I'll buy one, it doesnt need it. The skirt is nice and puffy, plus long enough so I don't have to worry about bending a little. The fit is, at least for me, Perfect. I got an XL (I'm 5'7" and 185 pounds). The top covers my 38 DD just like the girl in the picture. I'm about 38 inches in the waist and, again, the xl fits just great. I bought white thigh-highs with red bows for it, and I'm gonna wear a pair of TUK mary janes with red bows....awesome!!! The fabric is not see-thru, is quite thick and way better quality than I expected. I'm impressed! Unbeatable bargain for this price!

Wirklich schönes Kostüm. Musste leider Retoure da es mir überhaupt nicht gepasst hat. War leider viel zu groß. Sonst aber toll verarbeitet und gut verpackt. Versand ging schnell. Hätte es gerne behalten.

Sehr schönes Faschingskostüm mit einer guten Passform. Ich trage Größe 38 & dementsprechend ist es auch ausgefallen. Farbe, Muster & Schnitt entsprechen auch der Abbildung. Die Mütze könnte für meinen Geschmack etwas stabiler gearbeitet sein, aber das ist eine Ansichtssache.

The item came super fast, very good quality. the material was very stretchy though so this just made it too big for me. I was very happy with the quality thought. I have returned this dress but was so happy i have already ordered the same outfit just in a smaller size. Now just hoping the refund is as quick and easy as the order.
