best baby purchase I've EVER MADE so far!
My son started using this jumper when he turned 4 months old. HE ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT! When I'm leaning down to put him into the jumper, he already starts "jumping" his legs. He's not very tall, when we first started using the jumper he was around 25", now he's at 25.5" and the Level 1 height is perfect for him! He will stay in his jumper for up to an hour, sometimes a little more, jumping nonstop and playing with the toys! In this video he is 4 months and about 1 week, and this is only his third time using the jumper! He's always had strong legs, and this is perfect for him. The toys attached to the jumper, while not exactly exciting, they do keep him entertained while he's in the jumper. So far he hasn't figured out how to turn himself around the 360 degrees, so he only plays with the elephant toy bar part. He does try and look at the toys hanging from the leaves above him as well. We have it set so that the sounds and lights go off when he jumps, which means its going off pretty much the entire time he's in there. He doesn't seem to mind if the sounds/lights are even on though, so we don't always use it. We were trying to decide between this jumper and the Baby Einstein jumper. We decided on this one because a lot of the reviews said that it was easier to jump in, and the springs were "springier" and jumping was easier. I have to say, I'm very pleased with the decision. He tried out the Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumper, Blue at a friend's house a few days ago, and didn't get nearly the amount of jumping action that he gets on this one. We also have the Fisher-Price SpaceSaver Bounce 'n Spin Froggy , and I definitely wouldn't recommend that one. He hasn't even figured out that it jumps, mostly because his feet barely touch the ground, and it is extremely stiff and difficult to jump on. Also, the toys are hard to reach, and only kept him entertained for 10 minutes at most, which is why I almost didn't buy this jumper. Very happy I did! My friend went out and bought her daughter (also 4 months) the same jumper as soon as she saw this video, and she loves it as well. It was very simple to put together luckily, since the directions were kind of confusing to figure out, especially how to put the seat cover on. Its very sturdy, as you can see from the video, my son goes crazy on it sometimes and it holds up just fine. We've had it for about 3 weeks now, don't know what we ever did without it! Its saved my sanity since my son is very active, and now I can actually get some stuff done!

Excellent toy, great leg muscle strengthener
I bought this because I have had positive experiences with the Fisher Price before, and it delivered again. I have had this toy for close to a month now and this is what I have noticed so far: - Price: I felt that the price for this toy is a good value, considering the brand and the weight and history of excellence behind it. This toy did not feel expensive, and it has already given me my money's worth in smiles and giggles from my little boy. - Construction: it is solid enough. Even though one of the hanging toys comes loose at the slightest touch, the rest of the toy is pretty solid. The plastic is sturdy, and has been able to take on the challenge of a highly active five-month old baby. - Ease of use: the toy assembled fast and has remained solidly in place since then. I often have to remove the seat to clean it, and it has always been a breeze. The bouncer has a multitude of toys that the little one (and some of us adults as well) can enjoy for long periods of time. Overall, I don't think you can go wrong with this toy. Are there cheaper prices out there? Sure there are, but this one combines quality, ease if use, and the backing of an established brand. If you are looking for a toy for your baby to have fun, but also to begin the process of strengthening his/her legs, look no further than this.

My baby loves it!
I got the jumparoo for my son when he was about 4.5 months old. i knew he was ready for either a jumperoo or exersaucer because he was constantly kicking his legs and always wanted to stand (assisted, of course). i'm so glad i chose the jumparoo! we've had it for a month now and it has been a great toy for him! he loves stretching his little legs out and it only took him a few days to figure out how to jump...he has so much fun bouncing up and down pros: i love that it has two music levels, so that the music can run continuously (which is good for him now since he doesn't understand cause and effect yet) or only go when he jumps or plays with the toys (will be great for when he's a bit older). i also love all the colorful toys - he especially loves the blue firefly (or whatever it is lol) on the side and the yellow monkey. i know PPs said the blue elephant was useless because it's backwards, but my son still seems interested in it...he tries to eat its ears. when he gets tired of the main toys on the front, i love that i can just twist him around to the sunshine globe/peeping lion side, or the blue lizard. it's like a whole new toy and keeps him entertained for awhile. the two hanging birds up top are pretty useless right now, but maybe when he's a bit older he'll spend more time gazing up at them? eh i guess they're just decoration... this toy is also helping him to become a bit more independent. he likes to be held a lot (what baby doesn't? lol) but more and more i can let him play in the jumparoo and have some breakfast, do some cleaning, or check my email for a bit. its a nice alternative to his bouncy chair or swing, which don't offer as much entertainment. cons: the only bad side is that it seems built for a pretty tall baby. my son is in the 75th% for height and still needs a folded blanket under his feet on level 1. not a huge burden, just seems weird. all in all, this is a great investment for an infant starting around 4 months. definitely worth the cost (i probably would have paid more!) i would recommend it!

Hideous, but babies love it.
I bought this two years ago for my firstborn, and my second-born is using it now. Here is my review: ASSEMBLY: Plan to spend 15-20 minutes assembling this. It is not difficult, but there are a lot of different pieces. ENTERTAINMENT VALUE: This product was a hit with both my babies. There are a lot of toys on the console, and they seem to really engage children. Several of the toys have faces, which are always of interest to young babies. The seat can rotate 360 degrees to allow the child to switch from one set of toys to another. Not only is this product fun for babies, but it's also totally hilarious to watch them go bananas in it. SAFETY: This is very stable. I have no concerns about safety at all. Obviously, you need to be in the room or nearby, but there's really no way for this to tip over or for the baby to climb out. STYLING: From an aesthetic standpoint, this product is an abomination. It's huge and cumbersome, and the combination of beige, pastels, and brights just looks horrible. If the appearance of your living room isn't already ruined with ugly baby gear, it will be now. WASHABILITY: The fabric seat comes out easily for laundering. The fabric does not fade in the wash. The toys can be popped out for washing. AGE RANGE: This product will have a relatively short lifespan -- maybe 3-6 months of use... once a baby is crawling, the Jumperoo isn't so appealing to them anymore. My kids started using this around 4-5 months of age. My son tired of it by 8-9 months. My daughter is only 6 months right now, so she's still going strong. This is a good buy if you're just starting your family and plan to have more than one child. Otherwise, it's the sort of thing that you'll use for such a short time that you may want to buy it from Craigslist or at a garage sale. Used Jumperoos are very easy to find and will probably be in fantastic condition because of the short time of use.

Baby and mom's favorite toy!
I really wasn't sure if my 4-month-old would like this; he seems to hate everything. He's a VERY cranky baby unless entertained by mommy or daddy. I can't get anything done with him! But this turned out to be one of the best toy purchases I've ever made for him. Set-up was very easy and the directions were very straight-forward, though I pretty much only used them for quick reference. I love that assembly is snap-together. You only need a screwdriver to put the batteries (3 AA) in. Once it's assembled, it's big and a little bit of a pain to move but our apartment is really tiny so there's really no need to move it from it's spot in the living room. This may be an issue for others, though. Getting the baby in can be an event but I personally find it much easier to have the seat pad sticking straight up and it does that for you by itself when you pull your little one out. At first, he wasn't sure what to make of all of it and just kind of stared at the lights on the musical toy, which plays very cute music and animal souds in two volumes and two different settings. Pretty soon, he figured out how to spin the little doo-dad on it and was so excited that he could make it turn on. And of course, when little ones get excited, those little legs get a-goin' and he soon discovered the joy of bouncing. I don't think I've ever seen him laugh harder. The racket it makes when it bounces is a little annoying but as long as it makes my baby happy, I don't mind. Right now, he's not much for spinning in the seat so the lizzard and tiger toys have gone ignored for the most part but what he can get his hands on, he loves. He also likes to look up at the stuffed leaf toys. There is one toy that may be a real dud for some kids. There's a little bug on a stem that I'm guessing is supposed to stand up, but it just hangs limp. This was quickly turned into something fun, however, by taking it out of it's slot (this can be done by simply pinching the two plastic tabs on the yellow base) and just handing it to him to play with. It must feel really good on his gums because he just loves to gnaw away on it and look at the high-contrasting black polka-dots on the white wings. It's too bad they didn't stuff cellophane in the wings. He loves crinkly stuff. Not all kids will end up loving this little gem but mine sure does! I can put him down and FINALLY begin the horrid process of cleaning my house which has been neglected for 4 months. That I don't have an excuse anymore is pretty much my only complaint.

My Grandson Loves this!
I got this for my grandson for Christmas and he was able to start using it at 5 months. He is tall for his age, at about 27-1/2", but he is long in the torso and short in the legs, and a baby with shorter legs wouldn't reach the floor without a cushion or something under his feet. I agree with reviewers who said there should be a lower setting, as a lot of babies might not be able to use it at this age and I imagine he won't want to stay in it long after he learns to crawl.. At 5 months my grandson enjoys playing with all of the toys on the bouncer, and the music and sound effects can be turned on or off. Babies need a change of pace so he goes from one-on-one attention to this to tummy time or his play mat. He loves the bouncing feature and caught on to that almost immediately. It's good for building strength in his legs and the toys are good for hand-eye coordination. He loves to grab the big bug that hangs over the side and examine it and hit it on the side of the seat. He also holds the elephant, parrot and monkey and looks at them closely. He spins the ball with the sun in it and spins the colorful wheel. He seems to discover new things he can look at or do in it all the time. Like anything else, this has to be used in moderation. It isn't a babysitter, and a baby shouldn't be left in it any longer than he can tolerate it or find it interesting -- and not more than 15-30 minutes anyway. Babies need variety, and they need floor time to learn how to roll over, crawl and eventually stand. Sometimes he seems uninterested in the bouncer, but after I just talk to him a little he gets bored with me and goes back to bouncing and playing! Nothing is 100% safe for a baby -- he can pinch his finger between rings on a stacking toy if he happens to lean of it with his other hand! This is a very sturdy piece, but it does require some assembly, so read the directions and do it right! It's heavy with a broad base to prevent it from tipping, and the seat cradles the baby's body to prevent the baby from slamming around in the seat as he plays or bounces. I really can't see how the bouncer wouldn't be safe used with supervision and attention to the size of the child. My grandson sits so low in the seat, even with his long torso, that I can't imagine him ever tipping it.

Definitely a Mom Must Have
I bought this for my soon to be three month old son after discovering that he wasn't being entertained enough. I have a door jumper and although my son could manage himself pretty well in it I felt as if it just wasn't the right fit for him just yet as he needed a little more support. Although he may be too little according to the recommended age for this toy, he can support his head on his own with little assistance and sits while slightly reclined or supported. So on to the product. The box was pretty heavy, but well packaged and the items were easy to pull out of the box. The pieces were packaged individually while some were grouped together. I assembled the product myself which only took about 15-20 minutes or maybe even less. Instructions came included in the box and were very easy to read and understand. I usually don't read or use the instructions, but since this product was for my baby I wanted to make sure that everything was in the right place and secure. Plus I did read some of the horror stories of this product malfunctioning and collapsing, but that could happen with anything you buy. The only struggle that I did have was placing the cloth frog seat material correctly on the seat. The the frogger is to be buttoned to the seat and as I got one button through another one came off, but I was able to manage although frustrating. Everything else was easy to assemble and just clicks securely into place. The seat is very supportive for my son and is one of the main reasons I considered this jumper. The frog seat also doubles as a head rest in my case because every now and then my son gets tired and needs a small break. The jumper is colorful and exciting and my son jumps in it very well. He does't even need a pillow under his feet like other reviewers have stated. My son is not able to turn around in the seat yet but with my own test I can testify that the seat does rotate smoothly without getting stuck. His favorite part of the jumper is the music and lights with the animal sounds in the front as well as the bird and frog hanging from the leaves. He also loves pulling the crinkle butterfly on the side, but hilariously gets mad when he can't put it in his mouth. This is a toy that will definitely grow with him as he continues develop, strengthen and meet his milestones. This jumper will definitely be put to good used and can buy moms everywhere some time to get tasks around the house done. So far it keeps my son entertained for about a good 20-30 minutes, but I'm sure as he gets older it will hold his attention much longer. Btw I forgot to add the most important part of the review which is that this jumper really does bounce pretty well and high. My son has no problems bouncing in it and gets even more excited when he feels the bounce. It's like a surprise to him over and over again. This is definitely a mom must have!!

If you ever want to get anything done while your baby is playing, buy this immediately.
We are currently relocating to New Jersey, and I am very limited in what I can pack to live out of our car for a month. My husband asked whether we really needed to pack this (due to space), and I told him that other than our daughter's Pack'N'Play, this was the ONLY thing that mattered. It's seriously that awesome of a toy. My daughter is 4 months old, and she will play in this thing for hours throughout the day while I get work done. She wants to be upright, and this gives her practice with leg strength while she jumps and bounces. She loves hitting it and bouncing around because it's very sensitive to movement and makes different sounds in response. The music also isn't terrible--granted, the songs will be stuck in your head for the rest of eternity, but it's a small price to pay for how happy she is playing in it. I started her in it at 3 months and had to put board game boxes underneath her and shove stuffed animals behind her, but she's always loved it. If she gets tired of one toy, you literally just rotate the seat a few inches, and there's something new to play with. It's also really easy to take apart and put back together, and it's very sturdy once she's in it. If you are pregnant, get this toy when it goes on sale--I got it on sale with the Amazon registry discount for about $60. It is worth every penny, and it was nice to have in the closet to pull out once she was ready for it. Seriously a lifesaver!
