This is the kind of book that changes your perspective on discipline, assessment and traditional schooling for ever. As a mum and a teacher I have found the ideas ground-breaking. It changed my teaching practice to an extend, but I am not sure British schools are ready for this yet..!!I highly recommend this book.

Fantastic book!

Such an interesting perspective. Very easy to read and found it very interesting! The only thing frustrating is to know that we have so much work to do in education but we must face big speed bumps to change the way society perceives education and success.

A polarizing figure, Kohn postulates on various contemporary educational issues. Love him or hate him, he is sure to inspire some heated conversation.
