One of my favorite books!
I've had the original book for years and loved the recipes. I misplaced the book and decided to get the newer kindle version. Can't wait to try the new additional recipes.

Big Soft Chewy Cookies
These seem mouth watering. The next time I make cookies for a function or as a gift I shall try a couple of the recipes.

not impressed
I tried 2 recipes from this book and was sufficiently disappointed that I will probably not use this book again. The "Four-Spice Fantasies" were completely bland and puffy/cakey in texture rather than chewy, while the "Oatmeal Cinnamon" cookies, though better than the former, were nothing to write home about. People should let me know if any of her other ones are worth trying. Otherwise I now only go to allrecipes.com for user-rated recipes.

Good reference
This book was not quite what I expected. It assumes that you are already an accomplished cookie baker (I am) and gives recipes that are quite tempting but no methods on mixing. It does offer a few tips on here an there but I would not recommed this book for a novice cookie baker

Big, Soft, Chewy Cookies!
Who doesn't love big, soft, chewy cookies?! This cookbook (no photos) is full of scrumptious recipes, and my favorite one so far is the oatmeal raisin. I individually wrap each cookies in saran wrap, and then place them in a air tight rubbermaid container to keep them at their best flavor and consistency. I have given this cookbook as gifts to friends, and they love it, too. Highly recommended!

Good Cookie Recipes
I'm glad I ordered the book Big, Soft, Chewy Cookies. Can't wait to start baking. Just wish it had a recipe for soft sugar cookies.
