Easy to use, compact design, lightweight
We had a few that failed, but they replaced them and the replacements have held up so far.

4 light patterned Blue Light Warning light heavy duty built like a tank but big problem ...
4 light patterned Blue Light Warning light heavy duty built like a tank but big problem ... This warning light is certainly commercial grade being heavily built out of aluminum alloy with cooling fins. It appears to be storm water proof. It also came with stainless steel mounting hardware. I think it might be exactly what I wanted. But I do not think it should be used around heavy equipment as the description suggests. A very important problem that I found is that the external wiring uses PVC insulation as stated on the cord itself. PVC is oil soluble and should not be used in oil spray environments like around heavy equipment. Such PVC insulation is NOT recommended for environments where exposure to lubricating oils is constant. Long term such exposure degrades the PVC insulation. There are much better insulation materials to use for line cords in such environments. The wiring insulation should have been SJOW or best oil resistant SJOOW. I downgraded my rating to 1 because the external wiring is NOT the correct type for use around heavy equipment as is the suggested use of this product. I have a farmer buddy who regularly takes logs to a sawmill. He is always telling me the horror stories he hears there about hydraulic oil fires destroying heavy logging equipment worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. I wonder how many of these fires were started by an electrical fault caused by degraded electrical insulation. Quoting from an electrical engineering text, “In short, oil attacks the insulating compound, where it will become virtually ineffective in its primary role as an effective insulator. This action can create a possibly very hazardous situation, not only to human life, but also to the overall function of the industrial machinery to which it is connected. This results in very expensive downtime, costly repair and in the worst-case scenario, entire replacement of the machine.” I am not using this flashing blue light on any kind of heavy equipment. I am going to use this flashing blue light to hopefully frighten away deer from my wife’s rose garden. I have it installed sticking out of a metal 50 cal ammo can along with a dusk to dawn PIR motion sensor. I am powering this setup with a fuse protected 12 AH LiFePO4 nominal 12 volt battery. I tested the apparatus and it catches me trying to sneak along the garden path at night and unpleasantly flashes lights in my eyes. I set up a Trail Camera to see if it spooks all the deer walking around in our yard. It is wintertime here now but I want to start early hoping to teach the deer that walking around in my yard is an unpleasant experience and that they should go elsewhere.

This shines a a series of blue dots to warn people of your approach.
The light is well made and surely would function well to warn others of your presence. I didn't know it did that or I wouldn't have gotten it. I went back and read the description again and it really doesn't say that the light is a strobe or shoots out patterns I think that's a pertinent thing to state very clearly.

In addition to forklifts, it also works on slow off road race cars :)
I installed this on the rear of my Class 5/1600 car. Slower classes (like mine) are encouraged, or in some cases required, to run a rear facing strobing blue light. Buying one from the off road race kind of stores was an option, but they are kind of expensive. This thing is sub $20, is bright as hell, and strobes right away. Time will tell how it holds up to a racing environment, but for <$20, even if it breaks every year or two, it's cheap enough to simply replace.

Heavy-Duty Alternative to Backup Beepers
I have a 1960’s era forklift that has a number of hydraulic leaks, small but leaks. They are all upfront or in the engine compartment down low. None are near the top back of the roll cage. I don’t even have a backup beeper, although, I’ve considered adding one for quite some time. I’ll have to run wire up to the roll cage from an appropriate source, yet to be determined.I hate the backup beepers (probably why I never got around to installing one), but this is a good substitute as it’s a bright flashing blue light that moves in four different positions so you’ll notice it.Amazon Vine sent this product to me for an honest unbiased review. Would I recommend it? Yes, I have no problem using this heavy-duty equipment safety light in an industrial, commercial, or residential setting. One reviewer said it was dangerous because the PVC insulation is not resistant to oil penetration. This light is to be mounted up high and aimed down. The provided electrical cord is 12” long. If you have oil spray at that height on a piece of equipment, then you need to fix the source of the oil spray because it’s dangerous. If it’s a concern, splice into the cable up close to the light, then put a resistant heat shrink tubing over the PVC insulation still showing.
