My cat had been reclusive and sad due to a paw injury that she will eventually need surgery for, and it was making it hard for her to walk far. A few weeks into her sam-e supplement and she’s a changed cat! She walks as far as she can to greet us, meows for attention and is rarely hiding anymore. I think it’s been taking away some of her joint pain but at the same time just uplifting her mood a lot. I hide it in a pill pocket. She refused to take her prescribed pain killers and even when she did I noticed no difference in her wanting to walk on her foot at all. My vet recommended Sam-e for my dog’s high liver enzymes . I started Sam-e 1 month ago & after a month one enzyme is down in normal range - the other enzyme is down tremendously close to normal.

I wouldn't know if they work or not because they got harder and harder to give to my cat. Tried a pill picked which worked once or twice but The pills are moderately sized and can easily be discarded. Tried manually giving her the pill but she got really good at spitting it out. Last time I tried I had a helper and it was still really difficult.The box says not to crush so they are useless to me.
