Healthy sugar alternative that’s easy to stick with!
I’m re-ordering because I love this stuff. I read many reviews before the initial purchase. I have nothing negative to say about this brand—it’s a smoothly ground palm sugar. I’ve tried many sugar alternatives over the years. I have tried so hard to stick with the natural zero-calorie options such as stevia or monk fruit, but they taste too different, and are difficult to use in recipes. This coconut sugar tastes amazing in my coffee (I normally use brown sugar, so this tastes almost the same). And it’s easy to use in recipes! I made chocolate chip cookies and used this instead of brown sugar, and they turned out great! I know it still has calories and sugars, but it is at least an improvement that I can stick with. It’s really close to a 1:1 sugar substitute, but not quite as sweet as white or brown sugar. However, for most of us buying this, we’re trying to cut back on being so addicted super sweet tasting things anyway, so this is a good step towards that goal. You can always add a little more if you want.

This coconut palm sugar works well with iced and hot drinks... Baking? I will tell you later!
This seems like a good palm sugar to me. I do not have a lot of exposure to different palm sugars, to be able to compare this one with others. It is composed of fine granules (as are the other palm sugars I have tried). When I opened the package, the aroma was nearly overwhelming--very strong, I think perhaps stronger than some others? Not a true scientific experiment, I will admit. It does have a flavor reminiscent of other palm sugars, a brown sugar flavor (almost)--slightly different, not in a bad way, just different. Anyway, it mixes fine with the herbal tea I make in the refrigerator with loose herbal teas or herbal tea bags. The flavor, once sort of dissolved (particles swirling at the bottom of the pitcher) blended fine with peach herbal tea, and will be combined with other herbal teas in the near future! Does anybody have any information on the chemical structure? (Is it approved in the FODMAP diet?) Does it have Galactans in it? Fructose? Which forms of sugar? Long molecules or short ones? Polysaccharides? Can anyone tell me where I can find answers such as these? Thank you!

Nice flavor...
Firstly, this does have a different flavor than say sucanat whole cane sugar. Secondly the consistency is different as well (this coconut sugar is very fine and the sucanat is a larger "crumble"). That said, the flavor is sort of a "smoky" yet not smoky flavor, it's hard to describe, but I find it pleasant in coffee. It's not as sweet as sugar, which I also like. For instance, 5 tsps of sucanat whole cane sugar sweetens my coffee to a noticeably sweet flavor versus 5 tsps on this coconut sugar, which just knocks off the bitterness of coffee but does not sweeten it to the same level as the sucanat sugar, it's just barely "sweet'. So, if you want *sweet* sugar, go with regualr sugar, but if you want a sugar that's sweetish when you dip your finger in it, but isn't sweet overly sweet in your coffee, then go with this one. It's really all about preference I think, and not the fault of the different sugars themselves. They are different, that's just the nature of each.

Great for baking
Great for baking and the value for the money is great. Not a strong flavor of coconut.

It’s awesome, great sub for sugar and Stevia’s etc.
Trying to find a better sugar substitute and heard about coco sugar. Think it’s better for diabetics than stevia. Not positive though, so ask your dr. I make my own coffee milk drink and I think this makes its better than cane sugar even. If put in hot immediately dissovles. Doesn’t clump in cold, just need to stir longer. Not that bad though. To me it looks like and almost consistenty of brown sugar, tastes more like a malty taste than anything. I really love it!! Will be ordering more for sure. My pkg arrived fine and wasn’t outdated either. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a message from the company asking if I had any issues whatsoever, that they’re goal is customer satisfaction Nice to hear this in a world where it seems employees etc don’t even know that no matter what, customer is always right.
