Quality is too poor

I purchased the Banting 72” desk, Sideboard, and Bookcase. I am remodeling my office-I work full time from home and decided to invest in “real” office furniture. I posted my review of the desk (SUPERB) and the sideboard is just as great! There is tons of storage and the clean lines of the Banting line is gorgeous. It took my husband about 3 hours to put the sideboard together. However, he was very complementary of the quality of the product. My husband is NEVER complementary of anything or anyone so this is a really big deal!!!! The desk and sideboard stain colors matches perfectly! We still have the bookcase to assemble.

I'm a decently handy guy and have built bookcases and other things from scratch, so I'm no slouch. This was the most difficult piece of pre-fab furniture I have ever put together. So far, it's taken almost five hours, as I had to take part of it apart and re-do it because the directions are not great at all. Holes don't line up, which caused a split in one of the panels on the inside. This is also the first time I have ever had to use some of the spare parts they always send you. I was short a couple of different screws and a dowel. Thankfully, I had some in my workshop. Lastly, I can't finish it as installing the drawers is a nightmare. The first drawer went in smooth as silk. The second drawer doesn't want to go in to save its own life. After several tries, I got the flashlight out to look at what was going on, and one of the tracks on the cabinet was all messed up, and missing a few ball bearings, so now I have to wait until tomorrow and call the company and have a new track sent. I'm not even going to finish putting the rest of the drawers in or put the doors on, I'm so frustrated. There are also a few scratches on the wood here and there and some on the metal footing. Certainly not worth the price. Let's hope customer service at the company is good. An update on that to follow.

This is a great piece of furniture, looks more expensive than the price. It does require two people to assemble.

This is a lovely, sturdy buffet and I love it. It’s a nice medium brown without reddish tones. It has lots of room inside and the drawers and doors work perfectly. My adult son put it together by himself in about 2 hours. He said it was well-made.
