Excellent long line!
My wife takes our Lab hiking almost every day and this long line is perfect! Our dog gets to have so much freedom on the hikes and we can easily grab the lead if needed. Also great for training purposes. We used it when teaching recall and it worked great. Very durable and perfect length. Just be sure to be careful the line doesn't get wrapped around your legs or any exposed skin when the dog is running because it will definitely hurt and take your skin off. Still highly recommend this, just be careful.

Great training line
I have this line in 1/4” and in 5/8” both are great for different purposes. I think every trainer I know has these and there great!

So happy to throw away my nasty old nylon longline 😫

Nice feel
This line has a surprisingly nice feel it seems strong and I like the weight. However, the downside for me was when my dog pulled heavily into the harness it felt as if I could easily lose my grip on the line. I am using it as a drag line to work on recalls and off leash obedience with my dog so for my intended purpose it is a fabulous alternative to nylon long lines! I was going to purchase the 6’ Biothane Lead but ultimately decided on the Redline leather lead for leash work because of the lack of bare handed grip.

I was surprised to be disappointed ....
I haven't used this long line very much because I find it disappointing. My property (acreage) has fallen logs and branches, ups and downs (unlevel ground), scrub brush, cacti, ferns, wild plants and whatever else is typically found on forested land. I was intending to use it for tracking but found that I was constantly having to untangle it from everything it came in contact with; more so, than say, a polypropylene rope (which I don't really like using either). It's grippy. It grabs everything and drags the branches, etc until it finally gets stuck from getting wrapped around the ground cover. I would have to say that this line is not very practical in heavily forested land. It probably works fine on flat groomed lawn or smooth sand with no trees or obstructions to run through. But I don't track in that kind of environment.

Durable, well-made tracking line
I am new to tracking and got this 25' line to work with AKC TD courses. It is very comfortable in the hand, sturdy, easy to untangle, and the hardware seems to be of good quality. If you are new to tracking like me, you will eventually find 25' turns out to be too short, but you can use this line for training purposes. I plan to get a longer one once we are further along but it's perfect for now. I don't like the handle at the end. I prefer the lines with a large O-ring instead. The handle is kind of pointless since I'm rarely at the end of the line the whole time. This is also a very HEAVY line so don't get the 1/2" version unless your dog can handle working with it. It will get even heavier when wet (but not slippery, thank goodness!).

Nice, exactly what I wanted for small/med dog
Thin, smaller clip -- so be sure this is what you want. Works GREAT for my northern breed SMALL dog to feel "loose;" in a field. Easy to handle, slides through your fingers nicely.... although it's very slippery when wet. Well made -- stitched not gussets. UPDATE: Went from 5 stars to 4. Although stored indoors, the long line is used at least twice a day, rain, snow, sleet - all weather. I will say that after about 3 years, it is getting brittle and cracked, so that is the life of this product. Will purchase another (so I am happy) but disappointed it didn't last a bit longer.

I love Biothane drag lines.
Not affected by moisture or sun. Redline is the best. I have a dozen of these, never a failure. As a dragline you just cut off the loop handle so it doesn't get caught on things.
