Fantastic read - I could not put it down.
I'm normally not a fan of non-fiction, but I'm a huge fan of this book. I literally could not put it down and finished reading in one sitting. So much thought, insight, detail, and self-reflection. I love the message of hope and we all owe a big thank you to Ellen for her bravery and paving the way for inclusion everywhere.

Great read and very relatable!
Incredibly heart wrenching and relatable! I work in an industry that is just very similar and what Ellen describes in her book is the struggle I deal with everyday. It's so refreshing to see it published and see an inspiring female leader reveal the truth and few people dare to speak up about. The World need more female leaders like Ellen Pao who's not afraid of speaking out and take it to court, until then we can keep hearing about gender / racial discrimination complaints, empty big words compaigns but no real fundamental change is going to happen.

Must read if you want to work in tech or have a daughter, wife (and in my case, granddaughters)
I had followed the trial and was bummed Ellen lost. This is the inside story that states the facts. She doesn't whinge while she's at it. I finished it in two sittings over 2 days. The story flows. Even though the ending is known, the sense of dread isn't dragged out for the reader. I'm glad she devotes quite a few chapters to life after.Oh, I'm a 69 year old Asian male living in Singapore. So she does have quite a diverse fan base.

In this world of crazy media and social media, ...
In this world of crazy media and social media, Ellen's book presents itself as a clam and collected "light of understanding." As an entrepreneur, her book has now become an important resource for developing the management of human resources aspect in my business planning. I am responding to her call for "Diversity and Inclusion," and her book has further inspired me to use my intuition for thinking with new innovation and systematic thought.

Inspiration + action
I was unfamiliar with Ellen Pao's lawsuit prior to seeing the ads for this book, and am so glad she chose to share her journey. Puts a real spotlight on a pervasively biased working environment for women but more than just naming names, she offers real, concrete ideas for how to fix the issues facing us. She had me laughing at points, in tears at others. A voice of a new generation, many thanks to Pao for strength, openness and bravery to step forward. #metoo

Required reading for all business and organizational leaders
Reading Ellen Pao's book is a lesson in culture. Corporate cultures can be like a frog in a pot of water; we sit in what we have always done until the water boils over. Society can be similar, with a pile on effect - good and bad. Ellen tells a story that raises our awareness and incents our actions to stand up for cultural change.I read Ellen's book over the course of two days. She writes in a to-the-point manner but with a slow burn. We feel the tensions rise. No matter our make-up, we feel how a corporate culture turns against someone. One point that hits home is that many of us are observers of how culture can be negative and hurtful but few lead change. In Reset, Ellen's story motivates more to lead change.Ellen demonstrates immense courage while showing the toll and the renewal emerging from her experiences. Reset should be required reading in any organizational behavior and culture class, especially in business schools. Lessons in diversity, awareness, change, and leadership are abound.

Brave story and courtroom drama what could be better
I love this book because it is brave and hopeful. Ellen Pao has brought out a truth we all need to hear, and although she is so impressive, her journey is one many women at work can relate to. Once the book gets to trial, it's page turning. Should be required reading for all of us in the workplace!

Required Reading for All Leaders
Reset is required reading for all leaders and persons seeking to become leaders. As an engineer in San Francisco and Silicon Valley for over 15 years, this is the most accurate account of the often toxic work culture here. Ellen Pao’s life story is extraordinary and fascinating. She’s known to be an incredibly private person, however, in the book you learn of her family upbringing and her marriage to Buddy Fletcher. Ellen gives great insight into the structure and workings of Venture Capitalism. The book is infuriating, but also pee-in-my pants funny as hell. You will roll your eyes many times. The absurdity, arrogance and ignorance of the dominantly male managing partners at Kleiner Perkins will make you want to punch them in the face through the pages of this book. I especially liked the last chapter where she gives wonderful advice to her readers about how to navigate your career and how to make better choices based on her experience. Don’t even bother with Lean-In, Reset is the book to read!

Brave, true and familiar
A detailed, no drama and solid account by Ellen Pao of howher experience and the discriminatory system in Silicon Valley tech and VC world operates-only by understanding this and activity such as hers will the world and powerful interests evolve.

Might make you wince
Important book by Ellen Pao and very topical. She comes across as fairly self-centred but guess that's the point of the book. The tech world she describes is still dominated by nerdy guys who probably always struggled with women. Fair play to her for standing up to them. n
