Titan 21094 1/2-Inch Drive x 22mm Non-marring Impact Deep Lug Nut Socket

The item has a good weight and appears durable enough to handle the required tasks. The fish and look is great and stands out strong enough to @catxh the eye” during storage. Great item to have to prevent any marring of the forged wheels.

These are great and perfect for undoing or torquing bolts/nuts that are 17mm. The length is helpful with wheel bolts since those are often recessed a little bit, which makes it more difficult to remove them if you need to use a breaker-bar. The white sleeve is also great for protecting the finish of your wheels; especially if you have alloys. You can remove the sleeve if you don't want it there or if you need an even thinner walled socket, though it's pretty thin walled even with the sleeve. I've gotten this style socket in a number of sizes from Titan, and they've all been really great! I don't use them professionally, so I can't say how they'd hold up in a busy shop, but I'm confident they'd hold up very well. I actually have been really happy with tools from Titan, so I think you'll be more than pleased with this socket and you'll probably go for more of their tools after you get to try this one out a bit.

Good design and the outer plastic sleeve works well to prevent metal-on-metal scratches and dings. This extended socket and a torque wrench works better than a socket, short extension, and possibly 1/2" to 3/8" adapter. Anodizing wears off a bit on the socket interior but that's expected.

This is in regards to the 22mm socket: I originally purchased this socket because it appeared to have very thin walls, should one remove the white outside protective plastic part. Since I only needed it for use one-time to remove a specific bolt (i.e. it was okay if the socket broke during use), I wasn't really too concerned with its strength. I was more concerned with finding a socket with extremely thin walls. Based on the photo, it appeared that if you removed the white part, the metal socket would have super thin walls. Nope, guess again! The white part actually has a lip, which makes it appear that the socket is actually much thinner walled that it is. Now, this might be to help protect the face, but it sure would have been helpful if they mentioned something about the different diameters or something. I'm including some photos showing the exact size without the white protective part, since I think more than one person might be thinking they could slip that off and have a super ultra thin wall socket for limited use. Without the white part, the OD of the socket walls is 30.12mm. With the white part, it's 32.45mm OD. That's all fine and dandy, and the socket does seem to be pretty well made overall. However, at least for my application, I needed something more like 29.0 mm. And, if the white part hadn't had the fancy little lip on the front, this socket probably would have worked for me. You can decide for yourself and use my measurements in case you are looking for something extra, extra thin for some reason

Great for not scratching your rims or chrome nuts

I bought this to help protect my car's wheels. The plastic shield protects the wheels. I'd probably not use this if someone had previous WAY overtightened the lug bolts, but is perfect for properly installed wheels. (The dealership install the lug bolts where it took my 500 ftlb impact 30 seconds to break one of them loose; probably would break this socket like it did with my deep well.) The size is perfect and it has a distinct look, making it easy to grab from the tool cabinet.

After a week and a half of daily use at a fairly busy dealership the white jacket cracked and broke. After a month the entire socket split/cracked. Not worth it.

Great product that will not mar when using on your car wheel lugs. Used it on my BMW and it is an exceptionally well made product that fit the wheel lugs precisely and performed as described. Highly recommended!
