Draw-Tite 75600 Max-Frame Class III 2" Receiver Hitch , Black

Minimum scratches from shipping. Showed up in a white bubble wrap bag via UPS...... The actual hitch opening had a thick protective cover preventing and damage. There were minimal paint chipps in the finish most of which will be behind the rear fascia area. The hitch was straight and free of distortion. It mounted on to the four bolt/studs perfectly. The mounting holes on the hitch were machined oval allowing slight adjustment left and right. I was able to get it almost exactly centered. Trimming the lower fascia was a little involved. Even though the hitch was centered to the vehicle center, I ended up having to trim the lower valance a bit more on the driver side vs the passenger side. The cut should be roughly 8.25" wide from center x 2.5" deep from the edge of the valance. Actual bumper removal wasn't bad, just have a plastic pry tool handy and some masking tape to protect and painted surfaces that your are close to.Tools needed:18mm deep socket8mm socketPlastic pry toolMasking tapeTape measureMarker/pencilGrinding tool or metal sheers(recommended).The sheers make easy work of cutting the thick plastic lower valance.

Came w/ everything needed for install, including detailed instructions. Super simple install on my 2009 BMW X5, literally took 60mins in my parking spot @ my condo…(i am not a mechanic whatsoever) some manufacturers call for cutting away a portion of the bumper fascia to accommodate theirs, but this brand tucks seamlessly underneath.Highly recommend this product, satisfied cuatomer here.

Missing rivets

Item arrived fast, only about two days from MI to MD. Kinda dinged up when it arrived. A lot of spots where the powder coat was gone and bare steel exposed. The hitch is also not centered. Either my vehicle standoffs are not centered (not likely for a BMW) or there simply is not enough adjustment available in the hitch. I have the item as far left as it will go and its still almost a 1/2" to the right. Just barely noticeable if you looking for it. Oh well. For the dings I scuffed it up and put a coat of undercoating on it to protect the bare spots and the entire hitch from rust. The instructions for this model which fits a 2008 BMW X5 are a little off for the facial removal. It claims to room an overall 2x8" slot in the center of the rear fascia, having took this for granted upon getting the fascia back on it was clear that 2.5x8" is the exact fit and you might even want a little more for good measure. Since it only prevented the bottom two fascia screws from inserting and was secure I did not care. Getting the fascia off the first time was a PIA so I'm not going to bother.

The Draw Tite hitch was shipped promptly arrived intact in the box. Brand new hitch with factory wrapping. Installed quick and easy per the instruction video’s. Great purchase for my BMW X5.

Great hitch. Came via UPS. I used a can of spray paint to touch up a few spots. Realize that every hitch is going to come with a few paint scratches. If you cannot handle that, then don't order. The hitch was true and no bends. All the solders looked great. Best hitch for the BMW X5. It allows the original crush bumper to be reinstalled.Best to review a YouTube video from etrailer.com for a walk-thru of the install. I am slow and this install took me a couple hours. This is not a small job and prior experience as a "shade tree mechanic" helps. Days before you start, take the time and spray paint any missing or chipped paint.I used this weekend (11/3/2019) transporting a 6ftx12ft utility UHaul trailer....no issues.

This is a very sturdy, high quality hitch that took less than two hours to install. It could have had 5 stars but the packaging is so bad that the hitch had literally torn through it and suffered damage to its coating, exposing raw steel. Nothing a rattle can of black enamel could fix but I shouldn’t have needed it.

As others have mentioned, the hitch was shipped with only a label zip-tied to the end. No packaging to speak of. The edges were damaged and paint scraped off around the whole thing.I sanded off the remaining flaking paint and covered it with spray-on bedliner. Add it to your purchase, you will need it.Installed easily. I did it by myself while my wife went to the store. Good thing, as she would not have been happy to see the back half of her X5 laying in the yard.

The paint was peeling and the box was destroyed
