Just received this hose and it seems to be just what I was looking for. The right balance of weight, flexibility and, hopefully, durability. Plug and play with everything I plan to use it for. Fits my 2 shop vacs with the included 2 1/4" vac adapter. Press fits right into my little makita 18v cordless vac without an adapter. The small tool adapter makes it Festool and Lamello compatible and fits my bosch router and Makita track saw. My little 12v bosch planer was apparently designed for this hose, because the tool end of the hose is a perfect fit without an adapter. This is one of those rare purchases that has exceeded my expectations. Now I only wish I hadn't spent all that time and money messing around with all the other miscellaneous adapters on Amazon!

Title says it all, fantastic hose especially for the price just needs a extra mm of snugness on the small adapter.

I bought this hose because I use several different tools regularly in my garage shop and couldn't find one that fit all the tools. The tools I was trying to use it with are the following: Festool df500 domino, Dewalt dw621 router, Makita track saw, and a dewalt cordless XR random orbit sander (not sure of the model number but it uses dewalt proprietary dust lock fitting that many of their tools have. I am happy to report that this hose works on the tools. As a matter of fact the domino is the only one that requires the use of the smaller fitting. So the larger one supplied fits the sander, router and saw over the outside of the dust port which I prefer since it restricts less airflow that way and does not create a lip to trap a small amount of dust. I have only had the hose for an hour so I cant say for sure that its durable but I am replacing a older cen-tec hose that came on a Fein dust extractor and that one was close to 20 years old so if this one lasts half as long its well worth it. I will say that the fit is pretty tight on the dewalt twist lock connector but after having it on the tool for awhile it goes on and off easy enough but I am in the hot climate of Florida if you are in a cold climate it might be a little more difficult to put on and off

This is the 16 foot version of the hose. It is very flexible.The only issue I have is none of the attachements or even the fittings on the end of the hose will fit my "shopvac" or connect to the end of the shopvac hose.I took the fittings (end piece) off my shopvac hose and this hose and put the shopvac end piece on the new hose and it works great.

Great addition for optimal vacuum performance

This hose almost by itself makes my Shop-Vac into the appliance it was supposed to be. The original hose was downright chintzy in addition to being too short, and this one is... well, supple. The interior is smooth and the fittings are applied to th O.D., so it maintains the full 1.25" I.D. flow without getting stuff stuck in narrow spots.The 2.25" friction coupling works perfectly with the Shop-Vac, but I'm having a challenge finding an adapter that works to connect the Shop-Vac 1.25" accessories. I jury-rigged a component off the old hose, but want a more robust connection. So it either needs another adapter, or I'll go shopping for nice accessories that are designed for this hose. Seeking suggestions...UPDATE: Cen-Tec provided part numbers for two hose ends that accept the 1.25" Shop Vac tools. They thread directly onto the hose, rather than snapping on to the quick-change hose end, and each has its own swivel. One is a short straight stub (#49436), and the other is a few inches long with a 45 degree bend (#51405A) for the use of floor tools. I bought them both - they are exactly what I needed.

I'm a DIY woodworker. I bought this hose with attachments to use with my track saw and sanders, instead of having to deal with my 2 1/2", clumsy, limited in flexibility and movement, hose. This hose bends and flexes wonderfully. I don't have to worry about it getting caught up on the ridges and I feel like I have complete freedom of movement. The 1 1/2" adapter fits and secures to my Dewalt tools like it was made for them. The harder rigid plastic ones either come loose or are bulky. Whether I'm sanding a large piece or doing an 8' rip cut with the track saw, this hose doesn't hold me back or feel like it's making the tool uneven in balance. I went to their website and ordered more single attachments to keep in my tool boxes with the tools I use them on. Definitely worth every penny spent.

This works great for my sanding tools but especially my Festool joinery tool which was my main reason for purchasing. It’s a fraction of the cost and hooks up nicely with my shop vac. The hose is lengthy which is great and is of very good quality. Recommended for any wood shop!

I was surprised to find that upgrading my hose made such a difference in the functionality of my shop vac. This is a great hose. Like other reviewers, the fittings don't fit all of the tools in my shop but that is to be expected with every brand having their own proprietary fittings. I am very pleased with this purchase. And I would buy it again.

The hose handle wood chips from my Makita electric hand plane cleanly without a slitest clog. ( 1/8" cut to really test it) I was impressed !! My Shop Vac 1 1/2" hose would clog up in 2 to 3 minutes. I had to wrap 2 thicknesses of Gorilla tape on the plane's outlet to secure the hose snuggly to the hose connecter. It worked perfectly.

Very flexible, great addition to any shop vac. Allows you to keep vac in one place and still clean the shop.

I bought one, i got them to buy one where i work, my son bought one and a workmate bought one. What more can i say 🙂
