Leather Hard Case Cover for the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite By August Lion - PURPLE

I recently bought a paperwhite to upgrade from my gen 2. Wanted a colorful case that wasn't bulky and was well made. Have had this for two months and it's wearing well. Love the bright purple. Kindle fits tightly and case protects is well. Have dropped it several times with no problems. Sleep and wake feature is nice. The price is great! No chemical smell. Nice smooth leather that doesn't catch on things in my purse. Good construction.

Nice leather material, beautiful purple color, works as promised, slim profile, for a very reasonable price. What more can you ask for?On a side note, on a few occasions, my ebook has crashed, resulting in reboot. I am not sure if it is the magnetic function within cover that is causing it or how I operate the ebook...

I truly like this cover. It is thin and light weight. It fits great, color is excellent but -- the bottom plastic corners cracked and broke. I feel like it is a defect in my cover and not the overall quality of the product. Since I have had it for 2 months I can not have it replaced. I have tried to find out how to contact "August Lion" to see if they will replace it but can only get to Amazon. I get boiler plate responses about the return policy. I know I only paid $13.55 for it but that is $6.77 a month!

I bought two of these cases: one for my daughter's new Kindle Paperwhite, and one for mine. She really likes hers and uses it all the time without incident or complaints... I ended up keeping mine but use a different (cheaper) case, even though this one is much nicer looking. What I don't care for is the magnetic closure because it gets in the way (although it helps to tuck it in while reading). I also found that I prefer cases with a strap for my hand, in order to hold the case and my kindle while reading. But that is just a personal preference... On a positive note, this case is very attractive and of high quality.

My girlfriend loves this case! She says: The purple is a bit darker than pictured but still a beautiful shade. The case smells like leather and feels like you're holding a hardcover book. The kindle snaps into the case and fits perfectly - no wriggling around! The magnetic closure puts the kindle to sleep when closed and wakes it up when opened. You can also charge the kindle and access the power button while it's in the case. It does increase the weight of the kindle a bit, as expected. Overall: elegant and functional which is a pleasant surprise given the reasonable price. Amazon Prime 2 day shipping also a bonus. Now we'll see how long it holds up...

The case fits the Kindle Paperwhite perfectly. It is slim, nice-looking and doesn't add much bulk to the device. The magnetic strap to keep it closed is nice, but may take a bit getting used to it when reading.

I bought the August Lion cover in red for my Paperwhite, and I absolutely loved it. So when I saw the purple, I couldn't resist it. It's even more beautiful than the red. The color is very vibrant. It's very sturdy and I don't worry about my device falling out. The magnet on this one is a little stronger than on the red cover, so I'm very happy about that. This cover is a perfect alternative for the wonderful but overpriced Kindle Paperwhite cover. I would not hesitate at all to purchase another August Lion case. (Actually, I've been eyeing the one for the Kindle Fire HD 8.9".....)

Fantastic, great quality! Slim and much better and less expensive than Kindle Paper white cases found in the stores. Must have!
