A wise choice: My purchase of the ITC 60 watt DuraVolt Solar PanelFirst, I want to say that I am very pleased with the performance and rugged design of the 60 watt Solar Panel from ITC. My wife is too, as she prefers quiet – not the sound of our generator. Because most of our camping situations are dry and without shore power, I wanted the versatility of a light weight, durable, marine environment solar panel for our needs. Many of our camping sites don’t get full sun during the day, but with this unit, I can move it to face the sunny spots. Plus, I can use it as a battery tender while our tag-along coach is in storage. My hobby – free flight model airplanes – takes me to some really dry and isolated camping spots, i.e., Lost Hills, CA. The 60 watt DuraVolt Solar Panel did just fine at Waegell Field near Rancho Cordova, CA. and it also performed as intended during a heavy April rain.One last point and it’s a very important one to make: Rich of ITC, certainly deserves a lot of credit. He really does listen to the issues and concerns of the customer and guides you with sound advice, truthful answers, and suggestions so that you purchase the item best suited for your needs.I called Rich after my Waegell Filed trip and explained my situation; he responded with an email with the solution and sent an adapter complete with ring terminals (at no cost to me) so that my unit better accommodated my needs. We gave it a valid test at Bass Lake, CA. His tips and suggestions to purchase an inexpensive 25 foot extension from Amazon solved the mischief just fine.
