At this price point there really aren't that many options for a grooming kit that checks all the main points such as Lithium fast charge battery, waterproof, attachments and of course build quality. I had another Braun foıil shaver for over ten years and is still going so I went with this trusted brand rather than the more expensive Philips 7000 (which is the other main choice). Unless you want to spend 100 pounds on the Wahl which looks amazing, or go for the weird Chinese brands that nones heard of yet oddly have lots of good reviews with bad English, then these are the only two decent options.So far it feels like a decent Braun build which always feels good and looks slick. Its not very loud which is a good sign of a decent motor and the attachments are plenty for me. I do not expect an outstanding shave as all the trimmers at this range pretty much have the same motor strength and it's never that impressive but they do get the job done eventually. First negative-ish observation is that you cannot use it while its plugged in, however it seems to be charging very fast so not a huge deal.The free Gilette addition is a nice gift but totally useless for people who know what a DE razor is and I would much prefer they gave you a UK adapter since they are selling it in UK and the unit comes with an EU plug only (!), so 4 stars for that.For this price it's a no brainer, even if this thing lasts a couple of years its plenty for me as I am super happy I can finally dump my absolute useless piece of garbage Philips BG2024 into the bin, that was the most useless purchase ever.*Update after first use*The battery was totally dead when it came and after a 20 minute charge the light was off, so I'm not sure if thats how quick it charges but if so then thats amazing. I groomed for about 30 minutes non stop and there were no battery issues.The body groom head is a little tricky to get used to as it can cut both ways depending on which way your hair is going, so sometimes it can cut a lot and other times nothing. The quality of the trim is as expected for these cheap and weak products and require many passes until its all trimmed and even then you will find many that were not cut, but thats just how these products all are I suppose, I know thats not the case with my mains powered Andis but thats a whole other level of power and not comparable, so this result is not unexpected for me.The shortest the body groom head can go is number 3 and thats OK for body hair and for genitals as well, the head is designed so that it protects your delicates as you trim and there were no nicks what so ever, however razor is probably better for the balls anyway.My main annoyance was the way the groom head is designed, you can pull it off easily but need to hold to lock to put it back on all the way down and this process is a little annoying if you have to keep pulling it off in order to clear up the hair buildup so that you can continue trimming, I presume this would not be the case with the other open ended heads but the body groomer is a closed head so you can safely use it in your delicate areas but it does have this down side and if -like me- you are very hairy then you need to keep pulling off to clean it many times.Overall I am pleased and if it does not break down soon then I will stay as a happy buyer.

Took my time researching what models online from reviews and online self cut video’s to know what to look out for available from various brands. I made s as short list of three various band and their respect models of interest. I already have other items from Braun and as a German brand they’ve been as reliable as you’d expect them to be. I’ve not used any other hair clippers before to compare with so this my first time experience I’m commenting on. This hair clipper set is easy to use.... it’ll only be operator using it that lets you down.... so that’ll be you then - lol. Very satisfied with my first self cut on my now ever balding & thinning hair on top. This model set came with a handy storage drawstring bag and that will come in handy if I decide to take it on my travels after the darn covid pandemic is over. This unit is not bulky in the hand, and is comfortable when using which is good. The battery power longevity in use is very good, and the attachments are sound and all work well . I’m delighted with this purchase and at a decent price (circa £50 April 2020) via the Braun web site, following the buying options that takes you to the amazon product page for the best deal; so don’t get caught out by doing otherwise.It’s easy to become unsure when looking at everything available and there are some tempting hair clippers out their in the marketplace via amazon etc. If ordering only one hair clipper and your budget allows, go with a recognised brand that you trust, particularly on a first time purchase, as due to T&C’s understandably such items are non returnable unless daily or damaged.

The plug is a standard uk one for a 2 pin SHAVER SOCKET,which by the sounds of some reviews people do not have in their bathrooms. This shaver has more power than my current beard trimmer so should be OK for a Covid 19 DIY hair trim. I like the attachments, I did not want to have to buy a separte noise trimmer and the bag is handy to keep all the attachments together. I will probably invest in an amazon basics hard shell carry case to better protect the attchments for travel. An adjustment per mm would have been better for the beard lengths but I can live with the 2 mm stops that are provided. Cleaning is easy with the entire unit being ok to take into the shower. 1hr charge time for an hr and half of use. There was no oil provided for maintenance.

I was able to do my haircut many times during the lockdown. With the help of a handheld mirror and my partner I got a near perfect hairstyle.I was afraid of the battery capacity. However, it lasted through out the session. The combs are good in quality. The only downside of the product so far I experienced is that it's comb size locking is too weak. The cutting size may be changed very easily with some accidental pressure on the comb and may ruin your effort. It would be highly recommended to have someone near you to supervise if you are up to hair dressing. Nose and ear trimmer is good in quality. However, I don't like the body grooming trimmer as it won't give a nice clean and even cut. It may miss many hairstrands.

Bought this for my partner as a birthday present. He loves it. He uses it all the time, and it's been over 2.5 years! There are many attachments, several of which have proved useful over time. There is good battery life on this, as he uses it most days and don't often see him charge it. The blades have remained sharp too!
