Strong grip, securely holds light, flexible to direct light
I needed something to hold an infrared, blue, red laser light to direct it to various parts of the body. This clamp securely attaches to a tv tray. The holder firmly held my laser light, and would work similarly for a flashlight for tight spaces like when making a repair. The flexible neck bends in any direction so you can direct the light. The neck did pinch the skin of my hand when bending, so use with caution. Exactly suited my needs.

Articulation wears out
I have hardly used this device and already the rotation/ holding ability is wearing out. I will have to probably "scuff" up the main joint with a file and see if it will hold at a 45 degree angle.

A big beefy clamp that does what it should
This is a big unit. I thought it would be smaller (didn't read the specs), but the clamp isn't something that you'd use in close spaces. Don't be me; look at the photos.And as others note, it's a workout for your hand, and not to be clamped on something that will be hurt by significant force. I would have liked something with a bit of a ligher touch, but OTOH it's nice that it can hold a bigger light in rough conditions. The articulation and rotation are also quite tight. So this isn't something for tight soldering with a penlight; more like a big flashlight on an automobile hood.This isn't a ding on the product; just a wish I had one with a smaller setup and one with this bigger one. It seems like it will last, and I like the ease of use over clamps I have to screw down.

big, gaudy, ugly as sin… absolutely perfect!
i bought two of these to clip to window sills to hold security cameras on the inside of my windows. i rent and can’t put holes in the siding to mount outside so i needed something to hold the cameras. they work perfect for what i needed/wanted. a little stiff and not very easy on the eyes but they work well. for that, i recommend them

won't stay clamped onto bar
this seems cool but my creepers arm is a round metal bar and it won't stay on it. guess it would work good on a flat surface or square shaped bar but not on my creeper. to bad it could hv been neat
