Work great for me
The wire cutters I've used in the past were similar products they cut through 6 gauge wire like butter super Sharp very tough. The crimper I've never used before except one time and it was to assist doing a temporary repair on a battery cable the cripper crimps really well well once you figure out the right size I was kind of surprised how well it worked it will be installing a secondary battery in my truck pretty soon I already have the auxiliary battery cable hookup kit but it comes with some cutting in sizing as needed is why I bought the wire cutters and crimper . So far they work as advertised

Always skeptic with cheaper tools but this one is legit.
*EDIT** This crimper works just as good as the expensive brand names. Just for reference, if you're looking to crimp 6 awg, the setting is 16. Using Southwire #6 and Panduit Blue lugs. Perfect crimp holds tight and effortless.Original review below.....Have not had a chance to use this yet but this looks like it will the job done. Coworkers in my field have used this exact model and speak highly of it. It seems of good quality and very comparable to the more expensive ones. For those reviews that say the sizes are hard to read, it's all in mm instead of standard color coding like the markings on the Ideal and or Greenlee brands. Will provide an update when I use.

Overall worth it for the price and initial uses.
Pre-Tl;dr : make a small adjustment to the crimpers and they work fine, cutters snipped 4awg wire no prob.Bought this kit for wiring my car amp install: 4awg and 8awg OFC wires, so I can’t say how well it works in the long-run, or for anything bigger than 4awg.Crimpers are as easy to use as the (expensive but more professional) Greenlee’s at work*, except the dies were tough to spin & lock until I loosened the pivots: pretty sure the nuts were just over-tightened. Noticed the casting left some edges but it didn’t affect crimps. Pivot nuts are nylock, so back ‘em off a little and they’ll stay, and the dies will spin fine, lock in place, and crimp well. Should be expected from a kit at this price - more economy than quality.*If you’ve never used large gauge crimpers, keep in mind the handles open to almost 180°, and that gets cumbersome when crimping, but that’s just the design. The dies I got are NOT numbered with AWG (maybe mm?), so if that’s the way they all are, you’ll have to take your time sizing the crimp - not a big deal for using ‘em once in a while.Cutters are sharp and cut clean, but I (again) bought ‘em just for the amp install - can’t say how long they’ll be good for. They’re just stiff & flush enough for a clean cut, no slop in that joint.

Every try to use normal pliers on 0 gauge wire??
Was helping a buddy with his stereo system in his truck and when i first went over there he didnt have much tools and i didnt bring all of mine with me.. i was using some lil wire cutters and pliers to crimp these wires and half the time the connection would come loose. I told my buddy this isnt safe and we need to do this the rite way.he agreed and so i went home and bought these and hollllyyy crappp does this just make the job so much easier!! Ohhh boyyy does it help.. you go out there and rip up some 0 gauge wires to be crimped with just a normal pair of pliers its not fun at alll!!! Highly recommended if you wanna get the job done rite and not have to re do everything like i did!!

Worked for 10 out of 12 crimps
Needed to crimp 12 lugs onto 1/0 wire and these pliers worked great for 10 crimps. On the 10th use, the pin holding one of the adjustable jaws broke off and that was the end of the tool. Good if you are only doing a few crimps, or maybe smaller wire. The wire cutters included worked great on 1/0 wire. Cheaper than renting a tool even if I have to get another one.

For crimping larger wires this is the best value out there.
Easy to change the “dies” for each wire size. It’s labeled clearly what wire range each wire crimp die will work with from size 1/0 to #10.I needed it to connect #4 and #6 to chargers for Tesla etc.My other crumpet is only good for small wire up to 10 gauge but thiswill handle all my larger wire needs.Crimps are sold separately and are specific to each wire gauge so you just buy the crimp type and size you need and then rotate the crumpet tool dies in each jaw to match the wire size and squeeze.

For the price, fantastic tool!
What a great price on this set of tools! Surprisingly, they are both made very good. I have used these cutters to cut high voltage wire, with a shield no less, that is a size 0 gauge.....quick, easy, and cleanly!! The crimping tool is super strong and seems like it will last forever. Great tools for a great price, thank you!
