Ignore the price, buy this bag.
I probably looked at 70+ bags before I left on my deployment. Long story short, decided that this one was worth trying and I could not recommend this more. The bag is very sturdy and well built, zippers are sound, and the wheels are big enough to take over rough gravel, up stairs, or across grass without dragging the back. The bag is so sturdy that whether it's empty or fully packed, it always stands up without falling over. The price was hard to get over initially when there were so many other cheaper options, but this was worth it. If you're buying a bag to last, that's easy to use and unique, look no further.

Durable and Well Built!
I purchased two of these bags for an 18 day trip to India. I had (3) flight transfers each way on my trip. My only concern with these bags were if the soft sided version would hold up to international travel. They not only held up but basically look brand new still! One of the main features above the ruggedness of the material was the build quality of the retractable handle. The feel is super solid (110L fully loaded with 50lbs+) and never had any issue with the mechanical parts working to collapse/extend the handle. I also purchased the smaller roller carry-on bag which was similarly great in performing. I justified the cost since Eagle Creek offers a lifetime warranty with each bag, and they were actually the same price point as bags from other major vendors like the Swiss brand and others that didn't have the same warranty. I would definitely buy another bag from this vendor and may have to for family trips to come! I probably won't have to use the warranty coverage for a long time.

Great for longer trips, especially with gear
Needed this for 2-3 week trips for hiking, horseback riding. Works really well with Eagle Creek packing folders and cubes, and accommodates jackets, boots and hiking poles too. When filled for 3-week trip, weighs about 45 lb, so watch out with heavy contents to avoid extra baggage charges. A slightly smaller previous version has held up well with several trips per year in US and UK, even with lots of checking on airlines. Lifetime warranty with Eagle Creek can't be beat, we always get repairs or replacement within 10-14 days. REI will handle free warranty shipping for you!

Good quality bag that actually stands when full!
I just completed a week long trip using this bag. No airline usage so I can't comment on that. But this rolling duffel does something none of my others does - it actually stands upright even when full - and unevenly loaded, at that. Very good quality with strong zippers. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the bag has no interior pockets so I had to use a lot of packing cubes to keep things organized. I would certainly recommend!

Zippers failed fast.
So sorry to write this. Handsome bag, good size. BUT the zippers are garbage. I bought two bags. The primary zippers broke on both. Really a clear design flaw.

Strength of workmanship and massive capacity.
Eagle Creek travel bags are the only bags I use. For the two times repairs were needed after heavy international use by me and my two adult children, they were repaired free of charge. Wednesday I fly again with four of their gear warrior bags, a carry on internationl gear warrior, a 60 L and two 110 L gear warrior 2 wheel rollers. Each of the 110 L GW bags contains a massive “bricked” Starboat mainsail and other sailboat racing gear. The 60 L bag has tools for the boat and two weeks worth of winter and summer sailboat racing gear we used in European and World Championships over the past month in Italy.

Weak zippers
We took this bag to Japan and both zippers failed at the beginning of the trip. The rest of the trip we had to be super careful zipping it closed and they would still jump of the guides. This would be a good bag if they didn’t put small, fragile zippers on it.

Not well made
Zipper didn’t work properly and would get stuck in one direction. Also, this bag seemed cheaply made compared to our other eagle creek bag. Disappointed and returned it.
