Used for running marathons ( Galloway walk run method). Training for a marathon and was having a hard time pacing myself. I can set this to let me know when to walk and when to run. Most other training apps started out at too fast of a pace for beginners. It would give you set intervals so you could run the walk or run in order to keep pace and timing. Avoid injury. I use it for interval training for fitness. When I use it, its vibration intensity is just right -- not startling me or failing to alert me. The beep is loud enough to use this tool while loud music is playing. it has both vibrate and sound alarms and both at same time. I are more efficient with my time at the gym. I also use it at the office to make sure i get up from my chair every 30 minutes for better health. It also forces me to focus on my task at hand and work faster to beat the next interval! Try it for more productivity at work, the gym and at play! Unlike using your phone for a timer, there's no chance that you will be distracted by a text or email. Keeps me focussed. you can it primarily for you kettlebell workouts setting it to 1 minute of exercise and 30 seconds of rest for 20 sets. Multiple custom workouts, HIIT, Tabata, Kettle bell, skipping rope, calisthenics, meditation, CrossFit, running, Yoga and heavy bag. the display is uncluttered with characters large enough to be easily visible while running. The timer has an interval counter which you can set to count down a specified number of interval cycles. If you set the counter to zero, it will count up to the maximum count of 99 during operation.

The clip needs to be improved!
I'm coming to the HONMAX 8200 Waterproof timer after having used GymBoss for years. I got tired of them fizzing out after I would get caught in the rain though, so wanted to try this waterproof one. The programming technique is pretty much the same, so I had no problems programing the intervals I wanted. I'm surprised to see so many other reviewers having issues with it. Once you go through the options, it's pretty simple. My first run with this timer happened to be in the rain. The timer didn't appear to have any issues with being wet, the display still worked fine afterward. So why am I giving it only 3 stars? As a deaf person, the important feature of the timer for me is the vibration, not the beeping. However, because of the way the clip is designed, as compared to the GymBoss, the timer isn't held as tightly, and thus the vibration feels very weak during use, I missed it several times. That's not to say the vibration is weak; if I hold the body of the timer, I can feel the strong vibration. But when I run, I normally have the timer clipped to the back of my hat. (clipping it on my shorts or other locations have usually resulted in dropped timers). I also tried it clipped to a wrist strap. The metal dug into my skin, so while I felt the vibrations a little bit better, it wasn't worth the discomfort. When I have time later, I plan to try to stuff (or glue?) some foam, styrofoam, or maybe rubber type material inside of the metal clip so that it will have a tighter hold to whatever I'm clipping the timer to. But I shouldn't have to go out of my way to do that. If I were relying on the beeps vs. the vibration, I would have rated the timer higher. Also it would be nice if it could vibrate and beep, for when I run with my kids. For now I'll likely only use this timer when it's raining, and stick with the GymBoss otherwise.

Great for Galloway training
This is easy to use to set your times for interval training. The beep is loud enough to know when to walk and when to run. Use it with my running club and everyone relies on this product to know when to run and when to walk. Now I look forward to running and it keeps me motivated knowing I can take a walk break when I hear the beep. Would recommend this product if you want to work on Galloway training. Also happy it is purple. LOL

Perfect size
I did a 5k interval run and the metal clip allowed it to stay in place the while time. It was not too heavy or too big. I used the "1 beep" tone/alarm and it was a perfect volume. It was easy to use and the color is pretty. Comes with a little USB charger, cube not included though. I charged it over night and it was ready to go in the morning fully charged. It's about the size of a nail polish bottle so on the small size. It's a dark royal blue with light blue buttons.

Great For My Purposes
It can't be used for complex intervals like the Gymboss Minimax but the Honmax has a nice glow-light function and can easily switch to view clock time. It's more waterproof, has a louder beep, has a sturdier metal clip, and has a long-lasting rechargeable battery. The Minimax's only advantage is its capability for complex intervals. If that's not important to you, the Honmax is the better timer.

This interval timer replaced the GymBoss timer that died because of All.The.Rain.
I wish I had known about and purchased the Honmax 8200 first before I bought the GymBoss and wasted like $20. I didn't know that the GymBoss couldn't handle weather, and it totally shorted out. I bought my first Honmax in March for marathon training and have not had to charge it since then. Very happy with the Honmax 8200.

Love this for HIIT
This is a great timer for hiit training. Simple to use and the loud beep is really nice. It has clock and alarm clock, stopwatch, and you can set 2 different timers for your workout/rest periods. I hope it last a long time but will definitely buy another one when this wears out.

Perfect Product
This is a perfect, high-quality interval timer for a limitless number of uses. Unlike using your phone for a timer, there's no chance that you will be distracted by a text or email.I work as a developer and have a standing desk, so I set 25 minute intervals to work with 5 minutes to stretch my legs. Did you notice it vibrates? Your co-workers will appreciate it!If you've read this far, just buy it already. There's no way you will regret it.
