Great slicing knife
Received this knife as a gift from a foreign exchange student that came to stay with us. At first glance it looked like a cheap flimsy knife. I put it away and didn’t use it. A year or two later I found it and started using it, it slices unbelievably, onions, tomatoes, as thin as you want. The blade is thin without a secondary bevel and could be damaged on hard items. Never figured out how to sharpen it but it keeps on slicing just use a steel. It is the only knife my wife uses. It’s not made for chopping, but boy does it slice. My wife does not like to use chefs or Santorum style knives. The handle on the one we have is not beech but I believe olive. They are made with several different handle woods. The fits not the best but hasn’t loosen up. It’s an unusual knife and not for everyone. But for those who do not like chefs knifes and do not chop or sharpen knifes. It works for years without sharpening. Don’t judge it by its looks just use it for what it’s made for. A great but unusually knife that may not be for everyone.
