Let me begin by saying that our dog is a 125 pound Labradane. He has the energy, drive, and bulk of a Lab with the height and huge head (and jaws) of a Dane. He is as sweet as can be…but he is also EXTREMELY hard on his toys. Nothing plush or fabric lasts more than a day (and usually doesn’t even make it an hour). He can also shred many hard toys that claim to be almost indestructible…be it nylon or rubber. We’ve yet to find even a rope he can play with safely. He has been limited to only the strongest Kongs (black Extremes), the highest level/strongest nylon toys, and assorted antlers. These Playology Dual Layer Rings are the ONLY semi soft toys he has that will hold up. Sure, Kongs are rubber and they’re great, we love them; but the black ones are still pretty firm and heavy…plus, they don’t come in any fun “flavors/scents”. We currently have this Playology Dual Layer Ring in multiple scent/flavor/colors and not only does our dog adore them, we do too! They are almost odorless to us, and they don’t weigh a ton…which is nice when they’re being flung across your floors or dropped on your feet! It is very clear that they have a strong scent to the dog…peanut butter/blue is his personal favorite. Most importantly, these things last! They lasted through his shark tooth puppy days, and they’re still around now that he gnaws with molars that can crush antlers and bones. It’s honestly incredible, and I recommend this toy over any other. Soft and squishy yet tough has proven to be a VERY rare find in the dog toy market. Playology knocked it out of the park with this one. Additionally, I have to praise them for the way they stand behind their products. We have tried a few of their other toys that just couldn’t hold up under the pressure of our pup (again, he’s an excessively strong boy with jaws of steel!)…but, as soon as I emailed them, they were in touch and helping me to select toys that might stand a better chance. (I think I just needed to send a picture of my receipt.) Once I picked out replacements, they promptly mailed them to me free of charge. That’s actually how we discovered our first Dual Layer Ring. It was a replacement for a different toy that didn’t hold up…and we still have it today! In fact, that is the one you see in these photos, taken today. This is hands down my favorite dog and/or puppy toy on the market.

This brand has all my dogs favorite toys and they are virtually indestructible. I recommend these toys all the time! I have two AmStaffs - one with bad anxiety from the shelter (chewing is calming) - and they both LOVE them AND I just buy more and we have more without having to get rid of the old ones unless they are gross from being outside too long. We've had the first one for over 3 years now. Very worth the money!

I was worried that my dog would not like this chew toy as much as his squeakies but he is quite content to chew away. After a week it has held up extremely well to constant chewing. A great find. I think I’ll try some of the other flavors.

Had product for just one day, but it does seem like it will be durable for our heavy chewer. We were just surprised that we could not detect the meat smell at all. Our dog does not chew on it as if it were a food item.

Playology is the only brand of dog toys that will survive our labradoodle and Boston terrier. We just bought two new bones and are trying the rings for the first time. Of course they each have their own, but are fighting over one.

What you see is the result after only 6 or so hours with my 40 lb, 18 month old dog.It broke into chunks and had to be removed.I would not recommend these!

We have bought many of these! They have infused scent in them and they are pretty indestructible! They also come in a bunch of flavors and sizes! Highly recommend for your pups that are tough chewers! Great toys!

This is a very durable toy. My dog loves chewing on it

Someone gave our 1 year old Lab this in peanut butter flavour, and he loved it, so I ordered the All Natural Beef Scent, and he also loves it. Flips between chewing on 1 to the other. Our Lab now 17 months is an aggressive chewer. Now we have some peace.

A great distraction to use from time to time. Not sure about the chicken scent on it, but my rottie takes it out and chews on it when he's bored. I play tug with him on it and it seems to hold up to the test of strength. Wish it was a bit bigger when it said large, I was hoping it was a larger than the avg size ones.

Purchased for my 2 year old German Shepard. She has one of the playology peanut butter balls and loves it. I was looking for a chew for her and thought this would be a good idea.The toy did not last 10 minutes before I had to take it away as the rubber was splitting, coming apart, and breaking off where she was chewing on it.The product is labelled to large dogs that are aggressive shews. Completely not the case. I took the toy away for fear she may swallow pieces of the rubber as the toy started splitting and pieces of rubber were starting to come off.
