The app to control this device isn't registered on Google Play - you access it through a QR code printed on the instructions. That takes you to their website (in Japanese only). Scroll down and touch the button to download the app. If your phone is in standard configuration you will be asked to bypass the setting to install from known locations only. It says no special permissions are needed, but after you open the app it requires access to your location. Then for access to photos, media, and files on your phone. Then to take pictures and record video.For a gym lock????There's probably a reason they're not in the app store.

I used to have a regular $10 lock, but it broke after few times use only. A nightmare trying to unlock the lock for over 20 minutes. I decided to give it a try, trust technology. This is the first time I use a fingerprint lock. I must say, it worth how much it cost. With a well-developed app, you can invite friends or family to use the lock as well. Also, it keeps records of your lock history. I found it really user-friendly and I love this product a lot. Definitely recommend!

The lock is completely unreliable, I’ve used it a few times and every time I have to stand there, pressing my finger to it for 5 minutes before it finally unlocks. I’ve saved multiple fingers and try them all with the same result. I primarily use the lock at the gym, and don’t want to be standing in a towel after a shower hoping the lock opens so I can get some clothes. It does unlock with an app as well, but at the gym I don’t want to have to take my phone into the shower; the whole point of this lock was nothing to carry (ie. no keys, no phone) This is a good concept but horrible execution. The instructions are poorly translated into English and the instructions don’t have all the steps, so you have to guess how to set it up. Don’t buy this.

Works fast and every time so far. Its nice how the app lets you know the battery level as well.When I say its a great honest lock, I mean it keeps the honest people out that might have a momentary lapse of judgement considering taking something that is not theirs. I am sure a thief could get this thing open in less than a minute with a couple strikes with a hammer or pry-bar, so don't think its a "security lock". It feels lightweight and the metal isn't thick at all.Still, its very convenient for my work locker and "No Ragrets" of purchase

Want to use this at gym locker, feel like very convience. However, there is a little bit trouble than regular password locker, this one need to charge before use. If you forget to charge, I concerned it may dead for use. I recommend for home use, if you bring it out and no charge, and it will cause trouble.

This product is great for when you need to lock anything. In my case I use it to lock my items at the gym, but you could use this to lock many other things like cabinets for tools or maybe use it to lock your books/items at school. The process takes less than 5 minutes and the best thing of all is that you can add others to be able to unlock the device as well. You can unlock the lock from the app, from the lock itself or from the barcode. I highly recommend this one. Great product!

The setup was annoying. Thankfully some reviews here explained how to go about setting it up. After that it worked overall pretty well for a few weeks. Then it died, which I wasn't surprised about. It eventually should right? So I took a portable battery pack over and plugged it in. It would not accept a charge. So I ran a cord to the lock and plugged it directly in. It still would not accept a charge. Nothing I did would power the lock. So I took a hammer and hit it one time and it broke open. Not that I was expecting it to be extremely secure really. That's not this locks point to be honest. The charge lasted way shorter than other locks I have used and then when it died it literally died. I am highly disappointed in this lock.

This little fingerprint lock is wonderful, i don't need to care the key around the gym anymore!very happy with the lock!
