This candle is one of the best smelling candle's I have smelt in a very very long time. The best way to figure out if a candle will smell great when you burn it( if your on a store), open the candle and smell the bottom of the lid. If the lid has a strong scent it's a great smelling candle when being burnt. Of you don't smell anything or if it's a weak smell don't buy it. It will not smell when you burn it. It might smell right when you stick your nose into the flame, but you might not have any nose hairs to talk about. So I wouldn't recommend a 🕯️ lid that doesn't have a strong scent . Back to this candle. If you seriously love and I mean love the smell of a campfire then buy this. It's strong as hell, but hell that's what you/I want in a candle. I want to be able to smell the damn thing. The best way to explain and describe this 🕯️ is; you know when your out back of your house by a nice little fire in your back yard or out camping and when your done or walk away from the fire and you smell your clothes and it smells like fire. Well that's what your house will smell like if you buy this candle. And I so much love that smell. The smell wont stick around in your house like it does on your clothes. If you really love the smell like I said you will love this candle. And the wick is amazing and sounds like a crackling fire as well. This is my 2nd one. And it won't be the last I buy.

I have a chimnea on my porch and light this and it smells just like a campfire! Highly recommend this candle! Burns great too!

I've been buying this candle for a few years now, because we absolutely loved that it actually smelled like a campfire, plus the wood wick would pop and crackle like a campfire. The last 2 or 3 times I've purchased one however, it doesn't smell right and no longer crackles. The ingredients listed include coconut and patchouli now, the last time I checked a campfire does NOT smell like coconuts or patchouli! It also burns up extremely fast now, where it used to last for months with daily use. It's almost like they put the campfire label on the wrong candle. They've changed everything I loved about this candle that made it worth the price.Time to look for a new campfire candle unfortunately. Highly disappointed!!!

Read the reviews and decided to see (or smell) for myself. I like this candle. I don't LOVE it but I like it.It does smell like a campfire and by that I mean like ashes. I wanted a fire scented candle and this one does it. It hasn't filled up the room for me but it does rather well in a small space like the bathroom. Smelling the candle dry & un-lit it's extremely strong and some people may be turned off by the scent because like I said it smells like ashes. I compare it to Yankee Candle's Fireside Limited Edition candle that had a very strong smokey, ash smell though not exactly the same. If you want something more subtle and like a fireplace scent I suggest Sonoma's Fireside Hearth from Kohls(according to their site it's forest moss & nutmeg that make the scent) because it's a lovely, refreshing and fire-like scent that, for me, nails the more pleasant side of the fire scent and brings to mind Autumn and happens to be my favorite candle at the moment.So keep in mind if you get this particular Campfire Smoke candle it will smell like a campfire which means smoke and ashes. When open the box and smell it will be strong and harsh but once lit the harshness is gone. If you want something fire-like but more subtle or something that smells like roasted marshmallows or earthy/outdoor then look for another scent.I like the design on the label, the little brown box it came in and the crackling wood wick.This is a nicely made candle and I'm glad I bought it though I'm unsure at this time if I'd re-purchase. I may know after burning it more than just the couple of days I have so far. I think I might end up getting more....Hope this helps anybody wondering about the candle. Overall I like it, it smells like what it says and and more so than other candles that claim to be a campfire scent. Not for everyone but if you really love that true campfire smell complete with smoke and ash then try this one out and skip smelling it when it arrives and go straight to lighting it.

Punchy little candle. I bought it to compare with Yankee's Campfire Treat candle. I haven't lit this one yet but sometimes smelling Yankee candles gives me a headache, but this new one doesn't. I like that it's homemade and natural. I should've read the description for sizing because I wanted a bigger candle. My fault. The pic is in comparison with the 20oz Yankee candle. Overall the smell of this candle (not lit) is a sugary sweet vanilla smell but I'm sure more of the campfire aroma will come through when lit. I'm a sucker for candles so I'll be testing out the others from this seller this fall. So far 4 stars for total buying experience and first impressions. ((I'll update after I have time to burn it. It's currently way too hot up north to light candles.)) Shipping was quick once the order was in the USPS system. Packaging was great as well. It will be sent in a bubble mailer and wrapped in more paper inside the envelope for safety.---------------------UPDATE 8/28/15I have had a chance now to light this candle for the past several evenings on and off. It's great. The smell is more marshmallow than campfire/fire but it smells so damn good and one major thing: no headaches!! Unbelievable. Even my husband doesn't get irritated from this candle which is a huge plus. I want to buy more from this brand. As I said above the candle is small; however, the burn time is long. It does burn seemingly fast the first tiny bit, but it stops and slows after the initial period. Overall good candle, now 5 stars. =]

Smelling this candle brought back so many happy memories of when my parents and I used to go camping and of wonderful days spent camping with my own children.

Definitely smells great but I wouldn’t say it smells anything like campfire smells more sweet with a hint of cedar or pine so if that’s what you are into amazing but if you are looking for campfire this isn’t the oneOverall tho quality is great well made

I do like it but the aroma isn't very strong especially for the price, other than that it's ok
