Apeks RK3 Open Heel Dive Fins

But I do like the idea of the shorter fin because I do ...
I really wanted these pair but I'm usually a women's 8.5/9 in sneakers and heels because I have a wide foot. Even with the booty size 8 women's (7 men's) the Medium was way too big for me and they don't make a smaller size, and I think these are only made for men. But I do like the idea of the shorter fin because I do not have the strength to paddle long strokes, if they made a smaller size I think these would have worked out perfectly for me. I really wanted them because of the spring around the heel, I ended up with the stretchy string ones that worked out really well because the adjust straps are not easy to put on in the water and I lost a pair of the adjustable strap ones when I got caught in a rip tide, not sure if the springy or stretchy string would work well but the spring ones my boyfriend had worked well for him, he didn't lose his, anyways, point being, if you're going to put your fins on, on land, then the adjustable strap ones are fin, on a boat when you wet your foot the closed heel work ok but you dont have booty, but the open heel spring/stretchy string work well if you have to walk over rocks from shore to get to ocean and then you have to put them on in the water. One thing my boyfriend mentioned about the spring, they can't be replaced where the stretchy string ones can be replaced if needed. Not sure why they would need to maybe they loose elasticity over time.

Very good fin and strap
Very good fin and strap. I'm a commercial diver. I changed to these from the ScubaPro Jet fins. I dove them for twenty years, super durable compact fin. I was looking for some more heel protection so I tried these. They do help protect the heel of my booties but the rubber isn't as durable as the tried and true ScubaPro Jetfin. They seem to scar up easier but less than other fins. The ScubaPro Jet fin is still champ in durability. I will say the stainless spring strap is amazing. I've been using the RK3s for about 8 months now and no failures or tears yet. I hope they can hold-up to the abuse of commercial diving because I like the extra heel protection. We will see.If your a sport scuba dive, this purchase is a no brainer. You will get your money's worth out of them for sure.

Aquaman has nothing on me now
I got these fins to replace my Cressi spits that I had for years and finally started cracking. The Apeks are very nice, Just a tad shorter but wider so I can fit them on my roll on bag. Performance is great. Better than the Cressis and I was just down in mexico with them for a week and was kicking like a madman doing some large wildlife photography. Not only could I keep up with the big fish (well as much as a human can) but they were very comfortable and no sore spots, blisters or anything. I also really like the spring straps and it's easy peasy. And there are little holes where you can take them off and clip them to your BC which is huge when you are exiting the water with a large camera in rough seas.

The only fin you'll ever need, well worth the proce.
Fantastic! Hands down the best find I've ever used in all my years of snorkeling and scuba. I needed a new set of fins for my dive class that would work with boots. The spring heel strap all that fins should come with, so much easier to put on, especially if in the water already. I wear a size 9 boot and the Large fit perfectly. 3.5 hours of training the pool and no pain or blisters.

These are worth it.
Great fins! Easy on and easy off. Especially handy when in the water and pulling fins off to hand up in the boat. Good power and propulsion with less effort. Wide toe box let’s me wear them over dive boots. I’ve used on week long dive trips and for snorkeling.

Fits well. Works well. Dove several times with it and it works like a pro.

I use the super for my drysuit boots
What to say? When Apeks does something, it does it right!Slightly positive fins, well made as always and robust. If you need negatively buoyant fins, you need the Apeks HD once.A large size fits most commonly men feet with booties, 9/10, I use the super for my drysuit boots.
