Meditations of Marcus Aurelius

Meditations with other Stoic teachings work better together rather than read one at a time
I love the History of Marcus Aurelius, I find it fascinating that he was not just a warrior but a thinker, a politian, a king, a father, and a philosopher. I love how I can still find inspiration in his teachings and has he chose to live his life. Much more interesting to me then the so called crazy known emperors like Nero

This is not the actual book, but is very insightful
Thought this was the book by Marcus Aurelius but it is a presentation on the book. I do love the insight and history presented within the presentation about the book though and would still recommend this :)

What's important is that knowledge is very important
What I like about the book is that it can be used in today's society I find it very interesting

As simple and true as one should expect from a stoic.
Not as profound as many thinkers, but still solid wisdom. For those who have read Hume, Jung, Neiche or Voltaire, there won't be any great revelations. Just a strong core for a meaningful life.

Great Edition.
Having lost my copy of Meditations, I decided to opt for a kindle version. This edition is a great one, as good as my first copy.

Five Stars
This is a very good recording of a magnificent text that should be more widely read and studied.

Don’t get the audiobook
Content is good but don’t get the audiobook. It’s monotonous beyond belief and impossible to pay attention to for any meaningful amount of time

It is the full unedited version without much introduction.
Great voice on the reader. Enjoyed listening while driving to work.

I’d find a different translation
Would’ve given 5 stars if not for the obstinate insistence of that pesky Titan Read, who keeps forcibly inserting his obviously pro-Christian opinions and agenda all over the place.Form-wise, the book seems a little lazy on the part of again, that Titan Read. Esoteric terminology and Greek words are only explained >5% of the time (if even that)..Otherwise, the contents (thoughts from Marcus Aurelius) are wonderful.
