Very useful - rugged, and easy to hear (quite loud)
This is perfect for my application - I have wired it with a quick disconnect so I can go between either alligator clips or a standard wall plug - I use it for testing electrical circuits and tracing breakers to wires as the most common application. What is great about this buzzer is that it rugged (I keep it in my tool belt) and quite loud - I have no trouble hearing it across a 4000+ sqft house which makes the work go faster, especially when working alone. The volume is below a smoke alarm (thank goodness) but about perfect for my application. I'll probably pick up a couple of spares just in case this one ever dies since the cost is low and the utility is so high.I have this one and the "Continuous Duty" model (same vendor) and I find myself using the continuous duty one most, but I could see intermittent being helpful, for example if it was a noisy environment and I needed to separate out background noise and it was a long way away.

Great for home-made security system
This is exactly what I needed for my home-made security system. I have 2 motion-sensor lights that face the stairs. They run off of 120 VAC and have a UPS (i.e. battery backup). I took the switched (red) wire from the motion sensor lights and ran it to this buzzer. That way, when the lights come on, but buzzer goes off. It works great! I'm very happy with the whole system.

A compact little buzzer that sounds more like a beeper.
This 'alarm' sounds a lot like the 'door open' alarm which sounds on LG refrigerators. I used it to 'alarm' when the door was not fully closed on my LG fridge. The LG alarm is triggered by a switch which will time out when the door is wide open but will not sound if the door is partially closed or at least closed enough to activate the push button. Our LG fridge doors will not fully close unless you actually push then closed---if you just sort of push them toward closing and walk away they may not close fully but will 'almost' close and the LG alarm will not sound. I used a magnetic switch and a timer set to trigger this alarm if the door does not close fully------Now we are reminded if we fail to actually push the door closed.

Great panel buzzer
Finally wired up the panel with this buzzer and it works great. Exactly what I was looking for. For anyone who is trying to figure out how loud this is, it is pretty close to a smoke detector, maybe a little bit quieter. Works great and the price is right on with how much I would want to spend for a panel buzzer for a home improvement project. In a home evironment, I can easily hear the buzzer one floor up with all doors closed and the TV on. Drives my dogs nuts.

Loud enough to notice
Needed louder for my use but fine for intended purpose. You probably need to have a hole maker, does not fit in small hole in panel, but would fit in next size up.
