Just plug in to usb port........and start using it. Easy as that.
Clear and short instructions. I have only used the reading capabilities. Usage can't be more simple. Build quality may become an issue as the plastic enclosure seems fragile so handle with extra caution.

support software and web site incomprehensible
The software for windows based usage requires a third party program to decompress it RAR, not windows zip. The application has no useful or intuitive features. set up and usage is amazingly archaic and non-sequitor to any hardware installation process i have ever seen in 45 years of professional development. basically useless.Did not work with MiFare cards e have in stock. Made in Wuhan

Great little RFID reader
ReviewsByMuseWe have several of these out in the field in museums and they are VERY reliable. Even with kids beating on them. They sense through quite a thick piece of substrate. The cord is a little short but you can buy longer microUSB cables if you need them.

Package did not include the "config card"
PROS:- The device seems to work just fine for reading RFID tags.- The antenna has great range. I've had tags read from as far away as 10cm.CONS:- The "included" (downloadable) software is written for an old version of windows and while it will read UIDs, that's all I have been able to get it to do.- The product arrived without the config card. Without it, the manual configuration steps are tedious and frustrating.I have requested the vendor send me a new one and am waiting for a response.- There are minimal instructions and NO programming guide, so you are on your own if you wish to use this for anything other than reading (The same vendor sells a read-only device for half the price...)I will update this review if I get a config card. Otherwise I will probably return it and spend a couple of bucks more to get one that has decent instructions.

Amazon searches are getting worse
Shipping was quick. Reads well. Amazon search is getting worse by the day. Because I searched for an iclass writer and this was one of the results.

Does not work with Raspberry Pi
The drivers are recognized and installed automatically for Windows and Ubuntu, not for RPI OS (Debian Bullseye 64-bit). When plugged in to RPI, all other USB connections stop working.
