This product was perfect for my 7 y/o son’s chromebook. It fit perfectly and is very sturdy and secure in place. You just slide it on and done and it doesn’t block the screen at all. It has a bumper all the way around for those accidental falls too. Win win!!

This case was required this year for my child's middle school to fit the Dell 3100 Chromebooks. The computer teacher tested a larger version of this case (on a larger Chromebook) by throwing the Chromebook down the stairs. Protected like a charm! My child was able to easily install. So many broken screens & broken Chromebooks last year as most students only had laptop cases but nothing protecting them after they took them out of the carrying case or booksack. The school is counting on this case to alleviate this problem!

This case is exactly want I needed for my grandsons. Case is sturdy and easy to put on the Chrome Notebook 3100. My grandsons loved being able to put their artwork on the front of the cover. Really perfect for school.

So far we like it...we bought it for my daughter's school issued Chromebook to give it extra protection especially on the back of the screen. When the school sent out the notice for pick up, they stated it'd be a Dell 3100 clamshell style so I ordered this but the day off pick up they handed us a Dell 5190 clamshell style. At this time the case was in transit so I couldn't cancel but looking in gumdrops site, then Dell and images from the web it only looked like the different physically was the sdcard slot. So I'm happy to report that it fits with no issues and one less return to Amazon even though they offered free returns.

The clamshell gumdrop cases are sturdy and stay on well. Be a sure you receive the correct one you ordered. I ordered clamshell case but was sent the 2 in 1 case by mistake. Yes it will fit, but it does not provide the same protection and it does not stay firmly in place. I only knew I was sent the wrong one because another child has the correct one. For reviewers that say the case is coming off, it is likely they were sent the wrong product and didn't realize it. Amazon returns are great though. Gumdrop cases are very sturdy and worth the cost as long as you order and receive the correct one. I am attaching photos showing the clamshell case on bottom and 2-in-1 case on top.

This case is great! I'm a teacher, and I was issued a Dell 3100 Chromebook. I'm not worried about my computer breaking or being damaged with this case on it. However, it does add significant weight to the computer if that's a factor in buying this. It has rubber bumpers around all the edges and clear plastic over the top and bottom faces with holes for vents and ports on the bottom and sides. Overall, I'm very happy with this case!

The Gumdrop case did not fit correctly. I watched the installation video multiple times to ensure I was assembling it correctly. However, when fully installed, the case would contact itself when you open the Chromebook. After the second time of opening, the display portion of the case would come loose. I recommend to the manufacturer that they re-visit with their mechanical engineer to ensure that dimensional analysis showed proper fit under different plastic dimensions. The molder of the case must be sure to target the center of the dimension range provided by the mechanical engineer.

I got this for my school computer ( dell chromebook 3100) and it fits perfectly. It has saved my computer so many times.
