I'm a normal 1x/2x (US) size I can wear 1x, but 2x is more comfortable. I got the 5x size with this and other shirts from Dare to Wear and it fits great! **Definitely go to their site and check out the sizing chart there first and go off your bust size.**The only thing with this particular one is that it was a bit more plunge for the chest area than I expected. Mostly due to the square cut shoulder/neckline I think. So I could have gone down a size here to compensate for that.

Wow! I am in love with my first Dare To Wear purchase. I love the style of their tops but am always weary to buy them because the sizes seem different and they are a lot more pricey then I would normally spend on a top. However, I received an Amazon gift card for Christmas and decided to give the Electra top I had been eyeballing for a long time a try. I used the Dare To Wear size chart provided. I am normally a 12/14 - 38C top which I normally do a Large but their chart said a 1X so that is what I ordered. I received it yesterday and tried it on and it fits me like a glove. I didn't have to adjust the tie in the back or anything. I was nervous the top portion may be too big since these run as plus sized tops but it wasn't at all. It's very flattering and comfortable at the same time. Some may think it's not worth the money cause the fabric is on the thinner side but that's also what makes it so soft and comfortable.I also love how the lace and grommets are perfect for an edgy yet feminine look. It's very "me" and I am very happy I took the risk to order it. I can't wait to wear it and now want one in every color.

Absolutely love the look of this shirt! However, I am glad I read the reviews and looked at the size chart carefully. Typically I wear a 1x and have a 40DD bra size - I had to order a 5x in this shirt, which fit perfectly, but I am not a 5x. So I would advise that you read the reviews and actually take your measurements before ordering this shirt. Because I did this, I am happy with my purchase!

I bought this shirt a couple of weeks ago, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! It is very flattering, and I love the little brass eyelets...Now, I don't want to wear anything else! I ordered the Mulberry color, and the color is more of a Beautiful Deep Burgundy, which is just fine with me :) I am going to order it in two more colors today, and keep on ordering it, until I have at least one of every color that I like. I am very large chested (44DDD) and it fits just fine, although, if you don't want to show any cleavage, I would wear a lacy tank top, or camisole under it...I normally wear a 3x, and that's what I ordered, so I would say it fits true to size. The material is like a soft plush T shirt, and it is a little stretchy, which I love, because I don't have to worry about pulling any seams out when I put it on....GORGEOUS TOP!!!

I really wanted to love these tops, but I have to admit I was disappointed and they are all going back. I will say that I am NOT a plus size, so perhaps they will work better on a plus size woman. But even as a regular sized woman, when I wear a top like this, I want them to ENTIRELY cover the backside and they do not. I ordered size Large. I am 5'3", a solid 130 lbs, and I don't look overweight at all, but on the shorter side, I like to wear a pretty top like this with leggings, and it didn't cover my rear end. I can't imagine why the designers stopped this short. Perhaps with a skirt or other type of pant, it will work. But they didn't fall where I wanted them to. I also think for the price, the quality of material should be much better. For this fabric, I think it should be about $20-25 cheaper, they are no more than a $40 value, maximum!! Also, while I'm not overweight, I am not a lightweight, skinny girl, but I didn't quite fill out the top, although I couldn't go smaller, and maybe that's why you need to truly be full-figured to appreciate these. But I don't think the seems in the corsets, bust area, etc, fell where I would have expected them to. I could have done a whole lot of altering to make these appear as beautiful as they do in these pictures. 1 reviewer mentioned that the laces untie very easily and this is true!! I couldn't control the laces just in trying them on - I can't imagine how annoying it would be if I was actually wearing the top! Very disappointed, they look so pretty - the idea is there, but it doesn't translate in the wearing. Add a few inches to the length, upgrade the fabric and lacing, tweak the lines within the top, and you probably have a hit. But not these, not at these prices. Thankful that Amazon does free shipping both ways on them!! Would NOT have been happy if I had to pay both ways!

Perfect fit

So this is really expensive and it's the most I've ever spent on just a shirt but it is a beautiful item. I ordered a size up than normal - follow the guideline chart that they provide! It looks really great on me. The fabric is thin, but I like that as I'm wearing it under a cape for a costume then it won't be too hot. It has a tie on the back that I'm not sure I would like the look of, but it really helps to pull the shirt tight so it still fits over my chest but cinches in at the waist. This doesn't bother me since I'm covering the back anyway. Really fast shipping it arrived a day ahead of schedule.

I like the design and it is flattering to the figure. However, the size is far larger than the measurements claim. I purchased the 3x as stated in the posted sizing chart. Upon putting on the shirt, it is really big on the shoulders. The rest of the shirt was rather comfortable. I did expect a thicker and higher quality material for the price, but it should be easily wearable during even hot weather. I would say that their recommended sizes run rather large though.

I should have read the sizing chart carefully as 1X fits however this was to small in the chest. However the quality of the garment was out of this world and the colour was fabulous.
