Does this fit 1/2" id tubing ?

This works with 3/8" ID tubing.

Is there enough flow from a racking cane into a fermenter or do you need a wort pump to make this effective?

Gravity fed works just fine, although I imagine a pump would only increase is effectiveness. I go from boil kettle, to 3/8" line to reverse flow chiller to 3/8" line to aerator. That slows the wort down a lot but I still get a surprising amount of oxygen.

Does this fit in a Carboy?

Yes. I've used in a 5 gallon and 6.5 gallon glass carboy.

will it fit my 1/2 id silicone tube

I use the BE510 with every brew, cheap and works well.
