Not bad for being so cheap
I gave this kite a price adjusted 5-stars. However, this is not the kite that I would recommend for a first stunt kite. The kite is flyable and might be suitable if you already fly stunt kites or have someone to help you learn. I have been flying stunt kites since I bought my first Peter Powell at Klig's in Myrtle Beach. I wanted to find out how bad this kite was for the price. If you consider the price it is not that bad and is flyable. The biggest problem is that there is a big learning curve when learning how to fly a stunt kite. You would have the same learning curve if you spent the money for a better kite. It is hard to fly until you figure out how to do it. After you figure out how to fly, it is relatively easy and relaxing. Here are some points on learning to fly: 1. The big deal is to move your arms in and out instead of up and down like a steering wheel. 2. Expect to over control and crash. 3. Search the internet on how to attach the line to the kite using a larks head knot. Here are some points on this kite: 1. Build quality was not impressive, but it was adequate for the price. The spare parts were nice. 2. The bridal is not adjustable. You want to adjust the bridal forward in light winds. However, you could wrap the forward bridal line around the front spar once and it did the job. 3. This is not a light wind kite. You do not need a hurricane, but you do need a good breeze. 4. The lines are basic polyester lines. Higher quality kites use Spectra or Dyneema lines which have much smaller diameter and less stretch per unit of strength. The lower friction of the Spectra or Dyneema lines also allow you to still fly the kite after many more twists from spinning hte kite. This makes a big difference.

Great kite
I had not flown a kite in a long time. This review is based on a user that know nothing about kites and this is my first since a younger seld had flown one. It is easy to assemble with understandable instructions. It's a simple design that works great. I have flown this in light winds and also some that had been stronger. Each time the kite flew great. When the wind is gusty it increases the fun as you hold on and watch as the wind takes the kite for some crazy rides. This kites durability seems great so far. It did great flying fast in the big gusts and also in light winds where it is a calm experience. The colors were great and the lines were tangle free. Highly recommend.

Nice looking kite but fiberglass rob broken.
The Hengda kite 48” measures out correctly but looks small when you get it. Mine wasn't shipped out in a box and the fiberglass rod was broken on the end, making the kite unflyable. Ended up ordering another kite (the 3m parasail that can take you for a ride if the winds are strong enough) Dual line kites like these are so much more fun than the single line kites. You do need to pay close attention as the kite doesn't just sit in the air, these go nuts! I found letting out about 50 feet of line first will get it up in the air and letting out another 50+ feet of line for flying and doing tricks. The string provided is good and strong making you able to fpy in pretty strong winds that are along the shore at the ocean. Thank for reading my review and go fly a kite!!!

Not bad for the price
It works for the most part. Wish it had clips to attach the strings and the cross bar has fallen off a couple times but for the price it's fairly decent.

Not the best quality
Cool kite, not really well made so completely busted in multiple places after about 5 flights. Flew on 2 windy days and a few mildly windy days as well. Lots of fun to fly but a bummer that the sticks holding it together broke in multiple places to make the kit unable to fly. Also came with electrical tape on the main stick, so not sure if this was bought and returned before or if that’s how the manufacturers design the kite? Anyway not bad for the money but wish it had lasted longer. Will buy a better quality one next time.

A perfect candidate for A project I've been working on.
To be fair, I'm not making use of this kite in the traditional sense. On that note, it's cheap, but it's beautiful for my needs. I'm guessing she's crafted from some sort of ripstop nylon, though a propeller makes short work of that regardless. Not the point of course. If it's used as it's intended, she's as durable as any kite needs to be. In my application, I removed the strings, and custom built a gondola for it. It handles remarkably well, and looks relatively realistic when at altitude. It's also unbearably easy to assemble/disassemble. Yank two struts and she folds up for transport. On that note, I would be quite apt to recommend it. Whether you're using it as a traditional kite, or as a wing for an RC project, it should handle pretty much anything one throws at it.

It flew, barely.
I bought this kite because it was an inexpensive stunt kite, and I wanted something that my son could fly (and likely crash) at the beach. I should not have been surprised when it was not only difficult to get airborne, but also to control once flying. This was true in both medium (~10mph) and strong (15mph +) winds. I was only able to get the kite to stabilize after attaching a third party tail to it. Even then, it was quick to fall when attempting even basic stunts. I do not recommend this product. Spend $15-$30 more and get yourself a quality stunt kite.
