A must read for any mother!
I’m a stay-at-home-mom to three toddlers and am always looking for a good read that offers inspiration and encouragement to the beautiful chaos of my life. Being a mother is a blessing, our course, but it’s also a very exhausting blessing! The author of this book, Rebecca Eanes, gets it. She captures all the beauty of motherhood and shares relatable stories and real support to mothers. She writes in a way that provokes you to want to be better and do better in the most positive and supportive way. At the end of each chapter in her book, she offers prompts to help relate her words to your personal life and own experiences. I’ve shared a couple photos of pages that really spoke to me… “Moms create the atmosphere our children live and grow in. This is both an incredible pressure and a tremendous privilege”. Right? YES!This was a very quick read and one that I’ll definitely refer back to and maybe even read a couple times over when I recognize the need for a little uplifting inspiration. I loved the book and would recommend it to all moms!

The book that every mom never knew she needed!
“I know that it can feel like a thankless job, but what you are doing each day is the most important work there is.” - Rebecca Eanes The Gift Of A Happy MotherOh this book! I was part of a launch team that received early access to read the book (no compensation, my review is my own honest opinion about the book) and it is everything I was expecting and so much more! I have all of Rebecca Eanes books so I knew I needed to add this one to my collection even though I have always considered myself a happy mother. I love spending time with my girls over going out with friends or a date night but what I didn’t realize is there is so much more about myself that I’m not realizing is “happy” and that I need to work on for me and my family. Rebecca as a mom herself, validated my feelings and helps you to see things in new ways and gives you tools to help with that process. She brought up things that I haven’t ever thought about that I think will literally change motherhood for me, in the best of ways. Every chapter is full of such great information and so much love. Every page in my book is highlighted several times with quotes that I absolutely love and important things to remember/work on. Every page! The journal to go with the book is a fantastic idea and only takes a few moments but I really think makes a big impact on my growth as a mother. I think this is the perfect gift for every mother! Be it a gift for Mother’s Day, baby showers, or just because you know a mom who might be having a hard time- let’s face it, we all are, even if we think we are not. I urge you to buy this book and read it, even if you’re like me and think you are a happy mother and don’t need to read a book about one. I promise you need this one.

Good
I haven't found the time to work on this as much as I'd like but it is presented well and I have enjoyed what I have done.

Wonderful Guide to Enjoying being present with yourself and your family
I often find myself wishing for when my kids are a little bit older when things might get a little easier... but I find myself realizing they grow so fast and there are different challenges for each season. How do I find joy and peace in the moment especially as a mother aware of so many constant needs? The Gift of a Happy Mother is a beautiful gift to mothers everywhere. It’s a practical and research-based way to live your life as a whole and valuable person while still loving your family well. I love the interactive parts at the end of each chapter and as a pre-reader I received a 30 day journal that was a great month-long-reset on how I was treating my needs as less valuable than the needs of my kiddos. Self care isn’t selfish and it doesn’t have to be costly or time consuming either. If you have ever wondered how to be present and enjoy being present with your kids, then this book is for you.

A must read for any mother!
A must read for any mother! This book didn't feel like a book - it felt like a personal conversation with Rebecca. Informal and mother to mother. I have cried at the end of every chapter because I've never felt so understood. Rebecca really gets it and offers lessons in happiness, as well as journal prompts. I cannot gush enough about how much I have thoroughly enjoyed this book and I highly recommend you pick yourself up a copy. In this specific case I would buy over library, as there is space for writing, and if you're like me, you're going to want to flag pages and highlight passages.

She’s honesty about the challenges but also the beauty of family life
I’ve read a lot of books, religious and secular, about being a mom - some with “happy mother” or “happy moms” in the title. But this is by far my favorite. Rebecca is SO honest and has so much empathy for herself, her kids, and the parents around her. Her honesty made me take her more aspirational advice seriously, because she was transparent about how hard it is to actually DO some of the things she suggests. However, by the end of the book I was convinced that I could, and that the results would be worth it, because of her ability to be honest. This would be a great gift for a mom at any stage of life.
