Great sounding strings! Highly recommended.
I recently bought a mandolin, but due to unforeseen circumstances, the old strings I put on it became discolored and tinny-sounding. So I put these strings on and could not believe how much better my mandolin sounded! I'm a novice at mandolin, but a friend of mine who's a seasoned player said he loved the sound. Highly recommended, and I will buy them again in the future. I didn't rate the longevity because I just put them on.

My Strings Broke!
I got these bc I generally like Ernie Ball strings. However, the E and another string snapped as I tried to tune them. Albeit, this was my first time restringing a mandolin and I would probably be a little more patient and stretch the strings as I'm going, but I don't think the strings should have just snapped as immediate. The others sound great and were easy to use, I'm just salty that I don't have all the strings now.

Nice mando strings
I will use these again on my acoustic mandolin. If you are changing from another brand or another gauge you made need to adjust the position of the bridge of your mandolin to correct the intonation. If the string is in tune when open but high pitched on the twelfth fret loosing the string and slide the bridge down. This may take a few tries, but it is worth it. This is something that all mando players should learn.

An Old Favorite
I discovered Ernie Ball lightweight strings when I played coffee houses some 45 years ago. They had that extra "twangy" sound I was looking for folk music and were easy on the fingers. The .009 and .010 strings are a little prone to breaking, so DON'T OVERTIGHTEN THEM! If you are a little bit careful and use an electronic tuner, you shouldn't have any more problems than you would with any other strings. Time proven strings that perform really well and don't cost an arm and a leg.

Go well with older instruments
The smaller gauge is a good fit with older instruments, it's also easier on the fingers.

Mandolin strings.
These strings settle in quickly and don’t need constant retuning when first installed. They also have a nice bright ring to them which I like.
