🌊 Dive into Aquatic Perfection!
ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia II Normal Type (9L) is a premium substrate made from rare Japanese plant-based black soil, designed to create ideal conditions for aquatic plants. It includes a desertcart concentrate supplement for enhanced organic growth, naturally buffers pH levels, and features granules that promote healthy root development, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced aquarists.

Best buffering substrate on the market!
I absolutely love this soil and it's the only brand I use. I keep ornamental dwarf shrimp, and this soil buffers the pH beautifully and keeps it stable. It lasts a lot longer than other not as high quality buffering substrates that are out there. If you are planning a Caridina shrimp tank, this soil is definitely the way to go.

Quick start-up/cycling the tank
Time to cycle was significantly decreased when compared to the normal Amazonia. Using a pre-established filter, the tank cycled in less than 2-3 weeks with no big ammonia spikes. The plants seem happy and have been growing like crazy.The tank is still new so I cannot comment on the longevity of the product.

Perfect.
Never had plants grow so fast in a brand new tank. Only took 2 weeks to cycle.

A substantial change over the last version
I used the previous ADA Amazonia (version 1.0) for a high-tech nano tank I set up last year and I was quite happy with the results. For that tank, I had all different types of plants and was rigorously following EI dosing. The major problem with the older version of ADA was the ammonia leaching and water brownness.This version is the other way around. My Iwagumi setup (only grass) has been suffering from the lack of nutrition after a few weeks. I have started dosing fertilizers (PPS-pro) and now the grass is getting better. So my general recommendation is that this soil only provides a very high CEC medium to absorb nutrients from the water column and does not by itself provide adequate nutrition for your plants. It can be beneficial to control your environment, thus it could be a suitable choice for well-experienced hobbyists.

Best substrate for most plants.
The package arrived very soon. I chose to rinse clean the substrate before putting it in my aquarium, even though it says on the packing not to do so, just to be sure and I feel it requires cleaning. This is the best substrate out there for keeping live plants in a fish tank. And I'm really happy with the way my plants turned out. Also it contains plenty of quantity for that price.

9L = 7kg only
Product is good. But keep in mind that 9L is just around 7 kgs. Ok for upto a 2 feet tank.
