Not a tool I use often but it comes in handy when I need it. I like the Elitech brand as I have multiple HVAC tools from them and this is another on in the arsenal. Seems to be pretty accurate for automotive applications. Has a low, med and high sensitivity which is good. The noise it makes when it detects a leak is audible and you will know. Works as it’s designed to work and I think it’s a good value. Just doesn’t work all the time. But it’s a tool you use along with other diagnostic methods. I.e UV light & dye, soap and water, or just simply charging the system and using the leak detector to pin point an area to use all those methods in unison.

Worked surprisingly well, used it to test a 1234yf extremely hard to find slow leak on a 2025 vehicle. I did manage to find the leak prior to purchasing this with a old CPS leak seeker that does 134A. Was skeptical using that one since many go off on anything, it's hard to trust them. But purchased this to update to the newest freon. And it worked, detected the leak soon as I placed it near the area. I'm, pleased, esp for the price, it's not a bad purchase.

Great option for the price. It's already paid for itself in finding two R134a automotive leaks and a 410a leak on my home AC unit. No complaints at all, it did exactly what I bought it for.

Works great used it today for the first time to find a leak in a condenser and found it really quick.

It is not as easy as they said it is to work it I set it up like it was supposed to and it picks up everything and that doesn't tell you where the leaks coming from you could be in the bathroom and it picks it up now that makes no sense when the conditioner isn't in there but it is what it is

I use this for appliance refrigeration, it detects discharges of R600 several feet away and I haven't had it go off on just cabinet foam. Not sensitive enough for microleaks in the cabinet but it will work well for exposed leaks
