Was a hit with my mom loves horses in western movies. And it’s always a good investment! This movie is amazing! Highly recommend.

This 1976 Star Is Born movie will not play in my Bly-Ray player. A sticker on the plastic indicated "do not open it you do not have a Region Free or B/2 disc player, (I have a Sony). This means the disc came from Europe. Why would Amazon not indicate this on their site before ordering it?? Now I have to go thru the hassle of sending it back. Yes, I know I can order it thru Prime video, but I wanted the physical disc. Guess this will be the only way to see it, which I did back in 1976 and throughout the years on a VHS tape.

Someone please tell me what the big hairy deal is about this movie. I was a pre-teen/teen during the 70s and I love everything about the 70s. There's no bigger fan of 70s music than me. But I somehow managed to miss seeing this movie until now. Little did I know how lucky I was. Okay, let start with Kris Kristofferson. The man is an amazing songwriter. One of the best. But apparently the only thing he does worse than sing is act! Geez. Wooden performances throughout and, again, that heinous singing. As for Barbra Streisand - O...M...G...! What an awful, awful job all the way through this movie. I'd say she phoned it in but if she did it was with two tin cans and a piece of string! And who picked her wardrobe for this movie? Pee Wee Herman? Yes, she sings beautifully when given good material but she's got one good song here and the rest is strictly off-limits to the human ear.On a scale of 1 - 10. I'd give it 2. (I'd give the re-make a 3.)
