Sturdy and practical elevated outdoor planter
We were looking for elevated planters to replace 5 foot by 2 foot wooden planters in our backyard. It was difficult to find elevated planters that were similar in size and more weatherproof than wood. Very happy to find the City Farmer planters! Reasonable price, easy shipping and easy assembly. Two of the 3 foot by 2 foot planters replaced the old wooden planter with a little extra room! The Citi farmer planters are pretty easy to assemble. Yes, there are obviously a number of parts, but they are very distinct and easy to see what is what. You need a rubber mallet - if you don't have one order one on Amazon - they are good for lots of other things as well. Read the instructions, it is pretty straightforward and easy and since it all just sticks together you can always undo it if you got it wrong. And they are lightweight and easy to move around before you put the dirt in them. The individual planters can be connected if you want to make a larger one, which is what we did. We have 4 of these now, and will be getting 2 more when the final wooden planter is empty!

Excellent product
Easy to assemble and non toxic. I had a question about directions. Customer service was immediate, and very friendly. What drew me to this product was the fact that it does not leach chemicals from the plastic Into the soil and thus the vegetables. Deep enough for now, but I plan to get the 7 inch extension. Can’t wait to plant!

Perfect Planter!
We are very happy with this purchase! It’s just what we needed for growing our vegetables. This planter box is raised over two feet above the ground which makes it easy for access. It’s light weight yet very sturdy once we filled it with our potting soil. We’ll be buying several more of these Immediately!

Not worth the money
I needed another planting box this spring to expand my container garden, but the plastic planters I usually buy couldn't be found. So, I decided to give this a try, even though I was reluctant to pay the price. It's modular design facilitates shipping for the company I'm sure, but makes the assembly process unnecessarily complicated and a pain in the butt, to be perfectly honest. Working with my husband, we managed to put the myriad pieces together in about an hour and a half. It is an absolute prerequisite to have a rubber mallet when assembling; the company should include one for free! Once assembled, it is of an adequate size, but it is awkward to move in place because the modules are held together by these plastic caps, which loosen up with movement. The plastic strips included to "seal" up the seams between the 4 modules are a joke. The planter will definitely leak water, but that isn't a deal breaker for me as I don't plant on a patio or other surface that can't get wet.The planter is sturdy enough to hold the soil and deep enough to plant things like herbs, greens, strawberries etc. but wouldn't be good for anything with a deep root system. It does what it is designed to do, but considering I had to assemble this thing essentially from scratch they should have paid ME for my labor!! I won't be buying another one. I just hope the manufacturer of my other planters re-opens their assembly line for them after their pandemic-related issues are resolved.

Great for deck gardening!
This was easy to put together but had one wrong part. Fortunately I was able to modify the wrong part to make it work. Would have given 5 stars if that one part wasn't wrong. My squash is growing like crazy in this and I would definitely buy it again!

I’m disabled and this is the best thing that I’ve ever bought
Buying this has given me the ability to do gardening again I love it. I love the netting that goes over it. It kept the squirrels out.

Don't buy it - fell apart after 2 days
This is not made to hold dirt plant and water. it is not sturdy at all. Parts did not fit together as instructed. Parts were not made right. It is going to the trash

Costly, useful, but costly, drain well.
Likes: I can grow food up off the ground so less likely to get eaten by animals and bugs. Drains well.Dislikes:Honestly I have 2 of these at $179 each and I cannot for the life of me understand why, after owning and using them for a couple months...why do these cost so much more than more sturdy raised beds? Its not something that will be able to be moved, not going to survive the move once soil is in it. The lining will need re-done at some point I can see, each piece individually. If I knew what I do now before buying these and waiting for shipping they would not have been bought. These are outrageously overpriced for the value they offer vs wood or metal enclosures. Maybe over time and seasons (assuming they last that long) these will show their value better. Right now seems like a rip off of about $80 or more.
