No, the opal is not real and it looks VERY fake. I'm giving the ring to my granddaughter.

Is the base metal 925 silver?

They are rose gold and white gold plated. They are not solid complete metals all the way through. Look on the sellers website which may offer you more detail. 🥰

Does the black fade off the ring after a few months?

I wait tables, so my hands are in and out of water. The black did fade into a rose gold color, but it took awhile for it to do so.
