RM-D1078+ Replacement Remote Control Controller for Samsung 3D Smart LCD LED TV

I only had it for about a month. Hope it lasts. I purchased this remote to replace the damaged original trackpad type remote that came with my Samsung 3D LCD TV. I like having all the buttons instead of having to go through endless menus to access things as basic as the sleep timer of the screen ratio. The only disadvantage is that the original communicates via radio while the new one only works via infrared, so you must point it to the TV. On the other hand, the original drained the batteries a lot faster. Also, it does not offer the voice command option that the original remote had, but I didn't really use it anyway because the command set is too limited.

I wanted it to be just like to stock samsung, where all the buttons light up. However this remote only lights up the volume and channel buttons. Doesnt help when navigating my smart tv. However, if you just need to replace your stock remote, it's perfect. Looks and feels like o.e. and works point and click. No programming.

Like many others of this type, this remote has a very slow response time and does not appear to support all of the control functions. OK if you just want to turn the TV on and off and adjust the volume.

Lose the remotes, this one works great for my Samsung.

Can't say much other than this is exactly like the remote I was replacing and it works perfectly. Very satisfied, and decent price.
