I expected to have an effect in the small restroom, but not at all. Only can smell the scent when you are very near the wood.

So this is an unusual tiny diffuser which works by the wood soaking up the essential oil, that you drop into the concave top. As a diffuser, it works OK, but the scent projection is very limited. So may be OK in a cloakroom or small bathroom, as in larger spaces I found the natural drift of the scent does not fill the room. What I think will happen with regular use is that the scent projection will become stronger as more essential oil is absorbed into the wood.So overall this is a nice enough reasonable value for toe wood turned diffuser, which I shall use on the bathroom and cloakroom, but not for larger rooms, so it is limited in use, so 3 stars from me.

Diffused wood pieces for essential oils.Packaged well. Arrived in a really cute, mini, drawstring, canvas storage bag.Within the drawstring bag, are two, nicely designed pieces of diffused wood. These are a cute little size and come in two different colours, light and dark. They are 4.8cm tall and 2.5cm wide. Their nice, small, modern design lets them fit in, anywhere, looking good.These work by absorbing the essential oil, after you have poured some on top.I found the lighter, oak coloured piece, absorbed a lot quicker than the darker piece of wood. I'm unsure if this is purposely done or not.These carry the scent really well. The warmer the room, the better the smell.These can be hung up by the drawstring bag with the diffusers inside, these will still give off a scent. Perfect for cars or bathrooms etc! I did find, the smell is fainter when they're within the bag but still there.I do really like these. I've never seen them before, I love how they work. They do need topping up maybe once or twice a day. Brilliant that if they get knocked over, there is no spillages at all. Perfect if you have kids or pets.I would recommend these. I think they're great. I plan on getting a couple more.

I love using natural oils instead of chemical air fresheners so I though these would be brilliant - I liberally filled the concave top with bergamot oil and gave it time to soak all the way down into the wood (quick note - stand the wooden cone on a non-porous mat otherwise you could find the oil soaks into your furniture or windowsill causing damage).I thought it would be most effective in the loo as the smallest room, but unfortunately the scent barely diffused are all. Obviously, the usual reeds I use are more fibrous and porous so the oil evaporates more quickly but I expected this to be a good slow release, and it just isn’t.Essentially, the wood holds the oil rather than releasing it, so, beautifully made as these two little wooden stands are, they’re just not effective. And at a tenner for them both, they’re just too pricey.Oh I did try one in the bag hanging in the car too, with a zingy citrus scent (which I prefer in the car to keep me alert while driving) but the bag further absorbs the fragrance, so it’s a no go there too. Disappointing really.

Not everybody is familiar with wood diffusers I wasn’t even sure what to do myself so I had to look on the Amazon page to check. Wouldn’t be great if I bought as a gift and the recipient wondered what they are supposed to do with them.Apart from the little moan I like these as they are perfect for my car.You get 2 cylindrical pieces of wood one light and one dark. At the bottom, depending on how you view it there is a slight dip where you put your essential oils at top there is a nice carving with the company logo and name.Once you have poured the liquid into the dip Wait for it to be absorbed into the wood then you can place them in or out of the bag wherever suits you.You wouldn’t benefit from the aroma if in a large room. I’ve put mine in the car so that every time I open the door I get a lovely aroma coming from the car.At £9:99 I consider that a fair price as the wood will last forever no doubt.
